Randy and his team are by far the most friendliest group we have met in a long time. The food is ridiculously remarkable and the vibe tonight with Luke Andrew’s performing was awesome. So happy to find a new hot spot that meets anyone’s expectations. Way to go Randy

Fun beer/drinks/ cocktails spot with great shareables and handheld sandwiches. We had the Naughty special shots which came in this super cute tiny Santa mug, which you get to keep!! I had blackened chicken nachos – delicious, my husband had French dip sandwich which was great, with seasoned crunchy fries, and the vegetable hummus platter was also really good. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and even took pictures of our group for us. Patio shaded seating for our group of twelve was well prepared and comfortable for talking. The chairs had Santa hat chair covers, so cute!!

Went here while holiday pop up decorations were on. So much fun. Our server was so nice. She kept checking on us and making great food and drink recommendations.

Another outstanding restaurant my wife and I wish we had tried sooner. Their happy hour specials from 4pm – 6pm are great. From the beer prices to the food there is nothing to not like about Tamiami Tap.

We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by the bar staff. After ordering our drinks we looked over the menu and decided to order from the Happy Hour options. My wife chose the chicken tenders with fries, while I went with the sliders. I had to order a side of fries since the sliders did not come with. However, the price of the sliders and fries was still less than the burger and fries that are on the regular menu.

My wife’s chicken was seasoned very well, and was battered just right. The sliders had an amazing flavor with a soft bun. That side of fries? It could easily have been shared by two, maybe three people, it was so large. Their seasoning was also spot on. The sliders were so good I ordered a second offering of them, much to the dismay of my diet.

The atmosphere offered a laid back, relaxing feel and, being a Saturday early evening, we were able to enjoy the wonderful live music.

It may have taken us quite a while to finally try Tamiami Tap but rest assured it will not be long until we go again.

Patio in front is dog friendly and they have hot dogs for your canines. I had the Smash burger with tots for dinner and it was excellent!

Tamiami Tap is a local bar for regulars. On our visit, the bartender ignored us, was condescending to, what seemed like, most non-regulars, talked smack about these customers with the regulars and honestly seemed to completely, utterly dislike her job. We are not regulars, but having lived in SRQ almost three decades, we sure are locals.

I can only comment on the food by the look and smell. We intended on eating, but given the atmosphere, smell of bad grease by the restrooms and we saw a chicken sandwich, overcooked and black: culprit is always dirty, old grease for that, we did not eat. Their non-happy hour prices are sky high anyhow. I kind of remember $14-18 for a sandwich. We’re not cheap, but agreed that’s kind of pricey for bar food.

There’s just a cloud of distain over most of the customers and staff. Not friendly.

On the plus side, they seem to like dogs and there’s room for doggies to hang out. That’s cool. Their restrooms are fresh and clean. The trinkets they have for Christmas are fun, a bit pricey too, but understandable for that. I also give the wait staff a little credit since they have to listen to awful Xmas Musak, I’m sure on repeat, during their entire shift. We all agree: turn it off. Tamiami Tap is trying to be a neighborhood “dive bar” (in a sense), but essentially is a “regular bar” for regulars.

This place was fabulous, the service was great. You’re allowed to sit in between reservation times. As long as you can guarantee you’ll get up when the reservation arrives, which is really nice. The patio is decorated for Christmas during the season and it’s really cute. Appetizers are delicious and the happy hour is great!

Such an amazing and wonderful gem that we stumbled upon tonight. Food was fresh, tasty, and memorable. Ridiculous beer selection. The owner, Randy stopped by and was kind and helpful. We canceled our plans for tomorrow night just to try more of this menu.
You need to hurry to this place. Trust me.

(Where I come from, ridiculous means great)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my first time at Tamiami Tap, and I have to say I was impressed from start to finish. The first time I came by they were closed for summer vacation, so I decided to try again. Today I called ahead to make sure they were open, and I’m so glad I did.

From the moment I walked in, the vibe was fantastic great music, a welcoming atmosphere, and genuinely friendly servers who made me feel right at home. The menu has excellent prices, and I went with the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The food came out fast, hot, and absolutely delicious.

I also had the chance to meet Mark, the person I spoke with on the phone earlier. I mentioned I was the one who called to check if they were open, and he went above and beyond by offering me a free beer. He didn’t have to do that, but it speaks volumes about their hospitality. That kind of service is rare these days, and it left a lasting impression.

Overall, Tamiami Tap is a gem. Great food, fair prices, amazing atmosphere, and top-notch hospitality. I’ll definitely be back thanks for an outstanding first experience!
