I went to Tamaya for lunch with some friends. We got the all you can eat option and the reviews were mixed. The hibachi was middle of the road, not the best not the worst. The sushi was mixed arose the table. I had the sweet potato, veggie and mango roll. I would come again for lunch, all you can eat for 20 dollars is a pretty good deal. However, the service was not very good. They forgot my friends drink, our cups were empty quite a bit. The food was brought out I a very unsteady pace. I’m not sure they are set up for all you can eat as well as they should be.

Great all you can eat sushi in Gainesville!
For the price, this place is well worth it for ayce! Ordering can be a bit confusing for first comers but it is fairly simple. Food and service come out pretty quick. My favorite is the salmon or spicy tuna hand rolls. For some reason they taste better than regular rolls. Would always come here if I crave a lot of sushi!

First time trying this sushi restaurant and we had an excellent experience! We were lucky and got seated right away at 6 on a Saturday night. You get a menu and there are 2 price options. $25 all you eat sushi from 3/4 of the menu or $35 for all you eat from the whole menu. We chose the $25 option and had plenty of yummy options. We did not feel like we lost out by not getting the $35 option.
All menu options come with 1-4 pieces which we loved because we could sample so many kinds of sushi. This was way better than your traditional 8-10piece traditional roll. The sushi was fresh, not fishy at all. Highly recommend this place!

This is our new fav sushi restaurant in GNV. Love the sushi here and staffs are friendly. I love their hibachi veggies too, nom nom. We’ve been here like 4 times since it opened not long ago. Lunch and Dinner are equally good! Will definitely come back again and again.

A great vaule in Gainesville especially if you come for lunch. They have it set up where you get half a roll so you can try a bunch of different rolls. The made to order all you can eat is a great value considering how expensive sushi can be elsewhere in town.

Everything we have here was so delicious and yummy!!! All of the waitresses were very attentive, efficient and friendly. We will definitely be back!
Our food comes out quick every time we placed an order. The quality of the fish, sushi and everything was top notch for being all you can eat. We enjoyed the entire experience. Thank you everyone including back of the house and front of the house. We will be back !!! ❤️

If you enjoy starving while waiting for food for a long time, this restaurant is for you!
We waited and begged for food for 2 hours just for little food to come out. Hell, not even the wasabi that we asked for ever came out. Moreover, most of what we ordered got lost and never came out. Totally not worth the price. We were paying for the idea of all you can eat but they barely manage to bring out any food that you want. After seeing all other newer customers around us get their food, we quit. Employees were rude and antagonized us for complaining and not wanting to pay.
We were so hungry that we left for Pho Ha Noi, where they actually cared about you and brought you what you ordered.
If I could give 0 stars I would.

My absoulte favorite sushi place here!! Love to come here at least 1-2 times a month and they have great AYCE lunch and dinner prices. Sushi is always fresh and tasty, and service is good as well!

The food was good. It’s relatively good pricing for all you can eat sushi. I can’t ask for much.
However, it was our first time going there and none of the waiters or staff explained to us how to order so we sat there for 20+ minutes, not knowing what to do. We ended up having to ask a table next to us how to order because no server refused to walk by or make eye contact with us. You have to order by writing down the paper that is on your table and you write down your table seat number, and then order all the food that you want and then a server will come by and see the paper and pick it up and take it. You can do this as many times as you want.
Once we understood how to order it was a lot easier and very good food. I just wish someone would have taken the time to explain how to order, especially for someone who’s never been there and who does not go to all you can eat sushi very often, unsure if this is a normal practice.
