I’ve tried ramen all over — from different spots in New Mexico to Dallas, Nashville, Colorado, and more — and let me tell you, Tamashi in Paseo area is top tier on my scale.
The noodles are absolutely delicious and perfectly sized (no splashing broth all over your face ). The pork was the perfect addition to complement the rich, spicy ramen broth — seriously SO good.
I was a little nervous at first because they were super busy, but I ended up getting a seat at the bar, enjoyed a glass of wine, and received my meal in a timely manner. The atmosphere was lively yet welcoming.
One major standout was that the owner personally came up, introduced himself, and even shared a fun story about the (soup). That kind of hospitality and pride in the food makes such a difference — especially for new customers like me. It made the whole experience feel personal and authentic.
1000/10 recommend. I cannot wait to bring my boyfriend — the real Ramen Judge — to try Tamashi out. Can’t wait to try some sushi next time !

This place is amazing! Rolando’s service was the best that I have had in a long time. Very attentive, informative, friendly and knowledgeable. The food knocked out out of the park, we will be going back all the time. Definitely go check it out

This is our go to for Sushi. We live on the west side but it’s a a quick trip up Paseo. We had it to go tonight. Great food great service, and they repainted inside. It’s a lot more warmer feel. I love this place!

The sushi here is TO DIE for!!! We went for our honeymoon date and Bert’s the Sushi Chef was so welcoming, great concersations! He made it so special for us!! 10 out of 10 flavor and display!!! Was amazing!! Definitely go try it out and ask for Berts!!

Absolutely the best sushi in NM! Sex in the city with the jalapeño sex crunch on top! Phenomenal!! Seriously add it to your fav sushi! Let’s talk about the pork curry! Oh my! Delish!! We were celebrating a very special occasion and we chose Tamashi. We went to the new one first, and they directed us to the original location because the inventory of fish was better. That was the truth, and it reflects well on the staff and management of the brand. We were fortunate to have Kenny as our chef. He was amazing! He actually prepared dishes I had never had before, which is hard because I’ve eaten sushi around the world. He just really was exceptional and made our night. The entire staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely go to Tamashi if you’re looking for GOOD sushi in Albuquerque. Went back again and it was still amazing!
