Come here quite a few times over the years. Great atmosphere, restaurant and bathrooms are always sparkling clean, and service is good. Get a booth over looking the river. We saw a beautiful sunset while eating dinner. The food was good. My husband really enjoyed his chopped steak. My coconut encrusted tilapia came out a soggy on the bottom, although flavor was good. I expected the mango salsa to be sweet, but it was vinegary and bitter. Still over the years this has been a solid place to stop, and won’t let this put us off stopping again.

This is a gem! The restaurant overlooks the lovely Green River. The decor is funky and fun. The food was superb. We had the Southwest Taco salad it was probably the best one I’ve ever had, super fresh ingredients with homemade guacamole and dressing. Very tasty chicken noodle soup. We’ll definitely stop again on our way through the area!

DO NOT ORDER A T BONE HERE. Overall this restaurant is lovely and serves decent food with great service. But the t bone served with the t bone and eggs is the scariest glued meat of questionable color and texture I may have ever tried. For 26 dollars this is a terrible waste. I have been here a dozen times or so and would recommend it to anyone. Just don’t order a steak.

We were staying in Green River and wanted to find a good locally owned restaurant. As soon as we walked in, the place felt like we hit a home run. The Navajo Fry Bread was phenomenal. I opted for the plate which had grilled chicken, fried corn, black beans, and avocado. When you put fresh, well seasoned items on what is basically a large doughnut, I thought I saw a glimpse into what heaven must be like. My wife really enjoyed her sandwich which is served on a homemade roll. The view of the bridge and river was nice as it added to the overall experience. The price was fair given the overall quality of the food.
We look forward to returning again on our next trip through Green River.

This restaurant is right next to Green River and it has a beautiful overlook. The food was good and the atmosphere great. The pork chops were good and the salad was excellent. Just a couple of suggestions, the potato wedges didn’t seem to have much flavor so maybe they were missing something. The bread also seemed the same, a bit flavorless and also dry. Please also let the servers know they can take empty dishes from the table while people are still seated, no need to wait for any group to leave. Thanks for the great place!

Super delicious foods and customer service was ok but slightly lacking towards me.
I had the fish tacos “17$ for the cod” and black beans and rice, the fish would have tasted better had it was grilled instead of fried.
I had the steak/Swiss sandwich “18$ as well, the homeme Bun was super good +them fries weren’t those homemade ones rather the refrigerated ones; if you know what I mean.
Whoever’s cooking in the kitchen… Shalam Bro and you’re the best.
I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for real authentic flavorful foods.
I’ll stop by again if I’m going to be in town if the Most High Almighty AHAYAH The Creator is willing.
Thanks

Food tasted great. We ordered a meat sandwich and a steak as mains. The Navajo bread was really good, and the portions were great for an appetizer. They have a small store with local things that is a great addition, especially if you are just passing by.

The view of the river and the overall atmosphere were quite nice — a relaxing setting that had a lot of potential. Unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to the surroundings. My burger was overcooked and had the texture of cardboard, while my wife’s enchiladas and rice tasted like something you could buy pre-made at the grocery store. The potato wedges were similarly disappointing, more frozen-than-fresh in both taste and texture.

Overall, it’s a pleasant place to sit and enjoy the scenery, but the kitchen has some work to do if the food is going to match the view.

The Tamarisk Restaurant is a great place to eat in Green River. The food is excellent. Service is friendly and they pride themselves on their rural roots.

Spouse loved the Green Chili Chicken, while I enjoyed the Hamburger Steak smothered with fried onions. Very tasty.
The substituted side salad was huge and delicious. I couldn’t resist the pickled beets.

There are booths with river view windows.

This is a Green River gem.
