This restaurant is great! I’m from out of town and this was the only good mexican restaurant I found. The tamales are delicious. Highly recommend! They have variety of Mexican food. Staff is also very kind and was even greeted by the owner, who was there that day. Awesome experience 10/10

I probably ordered more than I should have, but I’m glad I did. These tamales hit the spot! The masa was perfect, not too dry and not too moist. Price point is average for what you get. I ordered the following tamales; puerco en salsa roja and another in salsa verde and one of each in chicken. I also ordered the rajas con queso. All were great in flavor and would recommend this place.

Very authentic mexican food!!! It is very hard to find a place that is legit mexican! I had the Tamale Dinner, great prices I highly recommend I asked the server for the green sauce since my partner had the “Tamales Preparados” so I poured sauce over, (not shown) but it was very delicious! Customer service is top notch! The owner was today and greeted me and my partner. She seems to really care about customers and her employees.

While tamales top the menu, Don Misael offers many other Mexican specialties (try the steak taco – my favorite in the Western suburbs). They also have fruit tamales ( try the strawberry) for a change of taste. Have been here many times, bringing friends and family, and now have converted them to this taste treat too.

Yum! Steak and Pork taco filling was very generous and delicious. Pork tamale (verde/spicy) was also fantastic. Pineapple tamale wasn’t very sweet but was tasty. Hot sauces and salsa were amazing. Very clean dine-in area with friendly efficient service.

Since Don Misael opened I have migrated over here for my Mexican food. For years I was used to Tony’s Mexican down the street. But this place and it’s flavor to me is next level above. Tamales are always on point.

I enjoyed the food & everything was made fresh. Loved the tamales (both chicken in salsa verde & pork in salsa roja)! The texture was perfect & moist, the meat to masa ratio was good & they were steaming hot. Had the eggs w ham, rice & beans (beans were a bit salty for me) with handmade corn tortillas. We also had the Al pastor tacos & chicken guisado taco & both were delish. I was happy to see pollo guisado on the menu. I like their red salsa too which is not too spicy. Service was quick. The place is very clean & parking is easy. Would definitely return.

I was so impressed when I came here. I came with friends who told me these were the best tamales they’ve had, by far. I would agree. The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and the service was fast. In addition, I was completley shocked by how affordable the prices are. That’s rare to find a place these days where you actually feel you got a good price for the food. I got the chicken tamale and cheese tamale with both green and red sauces, and I got the elote tamale. So good. I ordered my 1 year old cheese tamales with no sauce, and he LOVED it. One of my friend’s got the chicken taco salad and that looked amazing too. I could easily get that next time. My husband got the tamales dinner plate which came with rice and beans. My one year old loved eating his sides too. All this to say, I was so impressed with this place. I live far away from here, but am definitley looking for every opportunity to come back.

A very nice addition to the neighborhood! Tamales were good and filled with a generous amount. I tried the chicken green and red salsa. They are mild on spice/ hotness. If your looking for hot spice pickup a salsa to drizzle over them.
