Best tamalaria on the Southwest side, and I have tried them all!
My highly recommended favorite is the Oaxaqueña w/molé. It’s the ultimate tamal.

i think the tamales are small in size but don’t get me wrong they are delicious so i don’t mind it. my only problem is this is the second time i get their arroz con leche and there’s hardly any rice. i gave them a second chance because i like their food and it happened again. this is a picture of all the rice scooped from the bottom of the cup. all liquid no rice which is a bit disappointing because the flavor is great.

Delicious tamales, very fast service, the place is small it is a take out only. No space to eat inside. Fair prices and many options. You get your tamales steaming hot right out of the pots. Will go again when I find myself in the area.

Their tamales are good. They are serviced pipping hot and stay hot until you get them home. I really like the tamales wrapped in banana leaves.

Best tamales. I went this morning before leaving Chicago and the guy who helped me was very nice. I got the green pork tamales and the guava drink and OMG soooooo DELICIOUS. I used to go to another place every time I go to Chicago but now this is my fav place.

Went in there for the first time with my son. Got pollo verde, rojo, rajas, fresa tamales & Champurrado. They’re fresh and delicious, rare when you you find tamales this good. Keep it up!

Excellent tamales, but how do you go to a tamaleria, and they don’t have basic drinks like Coca Cola or regular sized bottled water? I asked for a Coke, and the guy told me they only had tiny bottles of water. Not trying to come off as a Kevin, but in my opinion that is strange.
C’mon Atleast have some drinks that I can order with my tamales.

Since I myself make tamales, I’m really picky about it, that being said these tamales are really good, better than most tamal places I’ve been too. We got frijoles with queso and they were good, we also had green and red chicken ones and they were also good. I myself got the oaxaqueños green, mole and rajas and they were really good, the best thing was the champurrado tho, it was my favorite part. I would recommend they make the dough with chicken broth instead of water to add more flavor. Other than that they weren’t bad at all.
