This is truly the real deal. I’ve never had such a wonderful dining experience. The owner is beyond kind with his time and suggestions. If you want a very unique dining experience with some of the best food around i would go there immediately!

I felt like my food was warmed up and poured into the togo bowls. It tasted nice and the jollof rice was quite interesting. I paid about $6 for a bowl of jollof rice and $16 for pilau. Which ended up having about 7 little pieces of meat in it.

The atmosphere felt good. The service was polite, although I had to wait about 15 minutes even though when I ordered over the phone and I was told 15 minutes, I left home 12 minutes after ordering with a 5 minute drive.
The portion was not generous enough, in my opinion.
I will try them again because the owner advised I order the meat called some local name (Rwandese) cant remember now.
Since my main aim was the food I will give a 3 star for now.

Decided to try something new and found this place called Tam Tam Zing’s Cafe. It’s listed as an East African restaurant. Their menu is simple but delicious. I ordered lamb kabobs but will try the goat kabobs next time. My wife had a goat plate and it was very tasty. Hard to find anything like it in this area. The soup reminded me of gumbo but with goat. They also have happy hour every day from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. I was very impressed by the size and strength of the margaritas! Well worth the price of admission! Chicken wings were also half off during happy hour! They were out of sambusa when we arrived but by the time we were leaving they had some and put one in our to go box. We actually ate it in the car before leaving because it smelled so good!

We’re planning to go back again today with friends!

I have passed by this restaurant for years. When I checked the hours, they are open a few days a week. So today I thought I would stop by. Let me tell you, it’s definitely a chill spot you have got to experience. The music is chill, and the food is amazing. I had the Sambusas as an appetizer, and a Lulimi and goat kabob. Never had any of it before, I wanted the experience. It was worth it! Don’t just drive by, it’s worth the stop.

This is an excellent family owned restaurant. The sambusas appetizer are really good. Think African empanadas. The goat plate (goat braised in a tomato based sauce) was amazing. And the goat kabobs were amazing as well. I was with a group of eleven of us. Everyone loved what they got. There’s plenty of parking in the back if the front lot is full.

Everything is scratch made. Absolutely fantastic food. We went for happy hour. Half price wings, the hot sauce is HOT . We had it on the side and added it to our goat dish, as my friend likes it super hot and I can’t cope with as much heat. We substituted the rice for fufu which neither of us had had before, but highly recommend.

Alex, our server was absolutely lovely, and we chatted about the food, the culture, cooking techniques etc. He makes a $5 cocktail for happy hour which was lovely.

We had lamb chops, fries, some kind of purple onions with jalapenos (in the small clear bowl), goat meat stew with rice. EVERYTHING WAS SO FREAKIN DELICIOUS!! Lamb was seasoned, tender, juicy and grilled to perfection and the goat was tender and flavorful as well. I was dipping my fries in the stew. As you can see, we demolished it all. We were too hungry and forgot to do before pics.

I was super excited to have found a place where I can have egusi and fufu but I was sooo sad when I saw the egusi it was discolored and was nothing like others I had. It was tasteless! I enjoyed the fufu tho. It’s definitely way over priced for the quality of the food.

Alex introduced us to their chili and it is worth it. Super spicy and flavorful. 100% coming back. I definitely will be bringing friends and family here Thank you guys so much for taking care of us!

What a wonderful experience for date night! My wife and I were invited in with big smiles and toasts from the owner and staff, we enjoyed strong and flavorful cocktails and unique recommendations from the East African menu. The place is spotless and cheerfully lit with a large and well-appointed bar. I had the Lamb Kabobs and they were juicier and more delicious than some Brazilian steakhouses in Fort Worth that are twice the price. I’m so glad I found this little gem, and I will be coming here as often as possible to support this beautiful local family-owned business.
