Talmo Market Grill is more than just a restaurant; it’s a wonderfully charming experience! From the moment we pulled up, the location captivated us—tucked away in a beautiful spot right next to the railroad tracks, which only adds to its unique charm.

The ambience is spot-on, transporting you back in time with its old-time country restaurant feel and perfect decorations. It’s warm, inviting, and incredibly cozy.

Now, let’s talk about the food! The burgers and beef are truly exceptional. Knowing they use meat from their own family-raised cows makes a world of difference—the quality and flavor are outstanding. This farm-to-table approach shines through in every bite.

What ties it all together is the service. The family ownership makes this place feel special, and everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming.

If you’re looking for incredible food, a charming atmosphere, and a taste of true hospitality, you must visit Talmo Market Grill.

As a member of ‘The Freedom Riders’ motorcycle group, I’m always on the lookout for a great place to stop. A few of my fellow riders recommended Talmo Market Grill, and I’m so glad I listened! This place is a true destination.

Talmo Grill is your classic mom-and-pop kind of place—no frills, just the basics. If you’re looking for specialty coffee, this isn’t the spot. They serve standard drip coffee with those tiny creamers to go.

Vegan options? Nope. This is down-home cooking through and through. One of our group ordered pancakes, and they were a pretty good size.

The atmosphere is casual with country-style tables and chairs—not exactly made for long sittin’, but it gets the job done. There’s limited seating in the front, but the back has a good number of tables. If you’ve got a larger group, you can push a few together.

Parking is available both out front and in the back. The bathroom is shared. Staff was friendly, and the servers came by often to refill coffee, which we appreciated.

A little quirky note: the cook spent quite a bit of time out back smoking , and we noticed a staff member bringing in supplies from what appeared to be downstairs out back, so I guess that’s where their storage is.

Overall, it’s a no-nonsense local spot—good for a casual breakfast if you’re in the area and not looking for anything fancy.

Service was not really relevant since I ordered takeout.
Was very excited to try the place for lunch based on the overwhelming positive reviews but lawd what a let down.

Sweet tea: one sip and knew it was old. As in the way tea tastes on day 2 or 3 after it should have been poured out already.

Cheee burger. Medium was not medium it was well done greasy tasteless meat with a slice of cheap craft single looking cheese barely melted Bun was so wet from grease and condiments it fell apart on my lap. And no I did not drive away to eat it letting it sit to get soggy. I literally ate in their parking lot. After one bite it was a hard pass.

Potato salad: saturated uncooked potatoes. The potatoes were grainy and hard from being undercooked and they were just about swimming in the yellow goop of dressing.

Price of meal came to about $15.00

Do not go here. I suspected it was not going to be good like the reviews said when I walked in and the family getting up to leave all commented they did not like it (said to each other) and left mostly uneaten food on their table.

It makes me sad to write this since its a small business but an honest review is important

Great place to grab a quick burger and fries. I’ve heard the breakfast is excellent as well, but haven’t tried it yet. I love the old time feel & all the ads on the walls from days gone by. They also have a antique store next door full of old & some new stuff. If you’re in the neighborhood, give them a try… You won’t be disappointed!

This is a cool old place with a lot of history! As soon as you enter it feels like you step back in time to the days of mom and pop diners with service that was much more personal. The Chicken Sandwich was excellent and fresh! The service was great as well with friendly and attentive servers! I love this little place and hope to return again!!

Been wanting to try this place for over a year. Limited hours. But we finally made it. When you step inside you feel like you’re in diner back in the 50’s. Squeaky wood floors, swinging doors behind the counter. Collectibles galore. I ordered the single burger and shoestring fries. Delish. My husband ordered chicken sandwich with coleslaw.

Truly one of the worst breakfasts we’ve had. Lunch is great, no complaints but would not recommend this place for breakfast. Cold/dry biscuits, soggy and dry tenderloin, scrambled eggs were not edible. Cooked so long they had a plastic texture to them. Country ham was thin, burnt, and tasted like you were biting into a salt block. Very disappointing.

This place hums. In an incredible energy of staff pride, customer love and support, and the history of a different Era, Talmo Market Grill serves up not only great classics but a feeling of nostalgia.

From the vinyl table cloths adorned with fresh cherries to the staff that still walks around with a coffee pot, re-filling coffee cups at breakfast, this place operates flawlessly, and at full boar.

Food is wonderfully consistent. Order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Their breakfast biscuits are phenomenal and you can get anything from bacon to bologna or steak tenderloin. My fave is the sausage, egg, and cheese – add bacon. Lunch burgers also don’t disappoint.

This place truly epitomizes the neighborhood hidden gem. They’ve also now added a general store chock-full of sweet gifts and treats.

We visited Talmo Grill by recommendation while traveling. The double cheeseburger was awesome. The cheese ran off the burger making it juicy. The hand cut fries were just like the ones we make back home. You don’t even need ketchup. We will be making a trip back to Talmo again!

We always passed by this place and wondered how the food was. Today was the day we stopped in and we were amazed by the food and atmosphere! This little restaurant is not only rich in food but history as well. The waitress Katie was very pleasant even when dealing with rude old men. The hours make it a difficult to get to eat there if you’re not from the area but I think that it also adds to the charm. Will definitely stop by here when we can!! 10/10!!!
