We rented kayaks from the gal who opened up on Saturday morning, 9/13. She was EXCELLENT. Best customer service, ever!! Then when we returned from our kayaking adventure we ate the delicious food!!! We both LOVED our meals! The side of beans are absolutely the best beans I’ve ever had. We loved everything so much!! Thanks, Tally’s, for making a gorgeous day that much better!!!

Perfect place to tie up your boat at. My drinks & the person I was with were delicious. We had the Key West nachos which were super good. The BBQ items going by smelled good. You can also gas your boat there. It is a seat yourself & go to bar to order type of establishment. Ice cream place across street for kiddos! Only reason for not 5 stars were there were a lot of empty tables not bussed and they seemed to be attracting bees.

Stopped by for lunch while enjoying a nice day on White Bear Lake. Heard good things about the food. Expectations were met with the food and initial service was quick. However, disappointed with the lack of seating and bussing of tables while it was busy. You would think they would focus more on keeping the limited seating clean and ready for the next group of clients.

This was my first time eating at Tally’s. I came with a group of friends on a Saturday right around noon and it surprisingly wasn’t very busy. We just went right up to the bar to order our food and drinks. I ordered the triple trifecta tacos which came with 3 different tacos – pulled pork, beef brisket, and pulled chicken. They were all good, but the chicken was my favorite because it was incredibly tender. The corn tortillas were falling apart a little bit, so it was pretty messy to eat. Luckily, they brought us plenty of napkins. I did ask for salsa and guacamole when I placed my order, but they didn’t bring it out at first so I had to ask for it again. They only have outdoor seating here, which is awesome when the weather is nice because you’re right by the lake! Overall it was a pretty good experience.

I did a pontoon rental with Tally’s this past summer for a bachelorette party and the service was exceptional. After I submitted my boat rental request, MN changed it’s laws to now require all boat drivers to be licensed. Tally’s sent numerous reminders about this law change which were clear and the emails had helpful tips on how to obtain the boating license. The staff that helped us the day of our rental were great. We were iffy on if we should cancel because the weather was so all over the place. I called Tally’s and the staff was so helpful to walk me through all of the options if we did up canceling. The weather cleared and we had a great time, with staff helping us get our coolers off and on the boat and walked our driver through all aspects of driving the pontoon. It was a perfect afternoon!

I just visited tally’s for my first time after living in White Bear Lake for many years. What a vibe! And, great BBQ!
I highly suggest trying a half pound of every meat.
Most of their menu is gluten free for those of us needing to navigate that dietary restriction. I honestly cannot pick if the brisket, pork, chicken, or sausage is my favorite offering on the menu, so I will most certainly be back for more! And, the creamed corn was amazing too!
The atmosphere, live music, most importantly the service were all fantastic and made me feel like I was at a family gathering. The vibe was like an episode of Cheers and a Jimmy Buffett song came together for a good time.
I cannot wait to visit again! Great work Tally’s!!

This was my first time at this restaurant and it has a very nice location, however the food was not worth the money and wait. It took almost 30 mins for 1 order of chicken tacos and corn bread, which arrived cold. The chicken overall was dry and lacked flavor. I would have rated the corn bread higher if it was served warm. This is a nice place if you’re looking to just grab a drink and hang out, but I recommend going somewhere else to eat.

Tally’s is a great place for a drink overlooking White Bear Lake. Haven’t tried the food yet, but a future check-in should cover that. The owner also owns Two Silo Winery . We stopped at Tally’s for a quick drink after learning that, and we’re pleased to find his wines on the menu.

Good place to stop and listen to some music lakeside, great drinks, large selection of cocktails.
Not too impressed with the food, for the price, it’s subpar. Skip the tacos along with chips and dips.

How fun! We have been to CG hooks many times in the past and always wanted to rent a pontoon. We rented a 3 hour rental today and had such a blast!!! It was very easy to reserve and getting situated was a breeze. The dock workers were super friendly. We were off in no time and enjoyed the 3 hours in the water and the lily pad we rented from them. 3 hours went by way too fast so next time we will do a couple more. We loaded up our car and headed back for dinner and drinks. What an amazing day and we will be back next year to rent a pontoon again!
I had a cocktail and we all had the pulled chicken quesadillas. So good!
