“Tall Trees Cafe is the best sandwich restaurant I have ever been to, hands down. I cannot tell you how many times I have visited here over the past year. When you walk into the place, you feel such a warm sense of community. It quickly became something that I would plan my weekends or my appointments around. “”Haircut on a Tuesday at 4? Tall Trees isn’t open, gotta pick another day!”” “”Hey, do you want to grab a bite to eat in Ferndale this weekend? Yeah, sure, as long as it’s at Tall Trees, they’ve got a curry chicken salad sandwich I NEED to try.”” There are a few Classic sammiches that are always on the menu: spicy mortadella (calabrian chile, buttermilk herb salad, sesame semolina roll), clong (mi turkey, provolone, herb mayo, roasted tomato spread, greens, pickled shallot, focaccia), a vegeterian situation, and a PB & Honey for the kids. Those are always solid options and must trys, but the rotating specials that Mike (the hefe of this joint) and the team come up with have brought many tears to my eyes. Some favorites such as: mufuletta (it all started here!), what murdah (an italian), the ham of god (an egg salad sando), big tuna ii (the best tuna sammich you can find), curried chicken salad sando (it had pickled golden raisins), meatball sub (enough said). Aside from the sandwiches, the sides are always creative and delicious too. The drink cooler and the shelf next to it showcase a lot of local goods for sale as well as fun merch. “

Looovvveed the Turkey sandwich. My only wish is that there was an option to make it spicy with some peppers. Bread was so soft with still some crunch on the outside. Also got the iced cranberry matcha and it was perfectly sweet the matcha was blended perfectly.

Very tasty sandwiches and salads. The cucumber salad was insanely good! Thanks for carrying gluten free bread too!

Awesome cafe! Loved the spicy mortadella. Absolutely perfect whitefish dip. Excellent selection in the drink cooler, really enjoyed the Casamara Club botanical soda. All around a great experience. Owner was running the register too, and he made sure every detail went smoothly. Great new spot!

From the atmosphere to the friendly service, and the well thought out and executed menu, this place is a true gem! Started my April off with sunny weather and a cool breeze walking into Tall Trees Cafe today. Greeted with smiling faces and warm welcomes, charming interiors, and delicious food. Had the Big Tuna and the Chicken Tinga sandwich, both so good! I also highly recommend the Slavic Girl Salad, the dressing is incredible! Wishing you all a lifetime of success ❤️

Best sandwiches imaginable and top vibes here. Mortadella is SO GOOD. Check out their Instagram for updates on new/limited time sandwiches they do. Once they’re gone they’re gone!! They just made a chicken curry sandwich that is maybe the best sandwich I’ve ever had. It is evident that an incredible amount of love goes into this food. A+++ so lucky to have them right around the corner. Worth the trip anytime.

Tall Trees Cafe is a must-visit!
Brand new spot with a welcoming vibe, super fresh ingredients, and a genuinely kind team. We were greeted by the owner, Mike, who made us feel right at home.

We tried the Spicy Mortadella and The Clog sandwiches—both were next-level delicious. The bread alone was so amazing, we grabbed a fresh loaf to take home. The cafe is immaculate, parking is easy, and honestly… who needs NY when you’ve got this?

This is the kind of local place you want to see thrive. Highly recommend!

Tall Trees has one of the most welcoming environments and the best sandwiches! All of them are fantastic, but the killer tofu really stands out for me. Very highly recommend!

I checked this place out because it was recently opened (3 weeks ago). I enjoyed the vibe inside as it was super simple and hipster. Very clean.

I like that it has a minimal menu. That makes it so easy to choose what to eat. And they seem to have a sandwich option for every diet.

I also like the bread. It’s fresh and interesting. But honestly, that’s the only thing interesting about the Clong sandwich.

I would come back here again to try the other options, but the turkey on the Clong wasn’t great quality. And the sandwich flavor was too subtle for my taste. A bit bland for the price.

Service was great and, despite the paper sign, it was easy to find.

This little cafe looks so simple and unassuming from the outside, but don’t let that fool you! The service was absolutely wonderful, very warm and welcoming. They’re known for their sandwiches, made with such fresh ingredients and on breads from the highly recognized bakery next door. But what I enjoyed even more was the garlic feta dip currently offered and served with freshly cut bread toasted crispy in olive oil. Even with my order being carryout, it was presented beautifully with edible flowers.
