We stopped by Tall Tales Bar & Grill after running an errand in Hollister. We’ve driven by so many times but have never stopped.

I got the brisket grilled cheese and coleslaw. What a yummy sandwich! It was creamy with some heat from the jalapeños. The coleslaw was good. A little carrot-y and next time I’ll get a different side.

The hubs got Double Trouble and he said it was really good but messy. He got fries. I had a couple of them and they were good.

We got good service from Natalia and we are glad we stopped!

Tall Tales Bar & Grill made a fantastic first impression. We did have a short wait for our table, but let me tell you — Duncan made it well worth waiting for. His service was the perfect blend of friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He kept us informed, checked in with us just the right amount, and made sure we felt like valued guests the entire time.

The food was excellent — the chili was rich and flavorful with the perfect toppings, and the salad was fresh, crisp, and generously portioned. Our drinks came out quickly and everything looked as good as it tasted.

The atmosphere is relaxed, clean, and welcoming — exactly what you want from a great neighborhood bar and grill. It’s clear this team works hard to create a positive dining experience from start to finish.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
5 stars for food
5 stars for service
5 stars for atmosphere

We will definitely be coming back — and we’ll be asking for Duncan!

We stopped at this Bass Pro owned sports bar, next door to the Angler’s Lodge Hotel after a day at nearby Top of the Rock. There are not a lot of restaurants open late in the area so I was happy to find this restaurant in Hollister. The menu is typical of a sports bar but the prices are ridiculously high! We asked for a kids menu for my 10 year old and the kids meals were $16! She ended up ordering off the regular menu and getting a bowl of chili for $11 which she liked. We ordered 2 apps and 1 iced tea and our total was $60+! Nachos with small diced chicken for $35ish and wings for $21. They were good but not that great. Atmosphere was bright and nicely decorated with tvs all over, a large bar, and an arcade and pool tables. Service and our food order were very slow. It’s an option if you are ok spending a lot of $$$ and want to watch a game on TV but not recommended for a family meal. Don’t think we’ll be back.

I decided to try out Tall Tales during my most recent trip. I was not disappointed! Great and fast service, fresh and delicious food, and a fun atmosphere! I tried the potato wedges and then the fish and chips for my entree. The remoulade that comes with the fish and chips was incredibly delicious!

Nice little sports bar, especially if you are staying at Angler’s Lodge. As far as food goes, I would not rely heavily for it to be the highest of quality, but again, this is a SPORTS BAR so you aren’t coming for the food tbh. The drinks were made well, the service was pretty good, and they were very accomodating for our group. We did a golf trip here and stayed at Angler’s Lodge next door. Highly recommend eating dinner at the golf course and coming back here for drinks and apps after. We did that every night and it was the move!

We are guests at Angler Inn Lodge and Tall Tales is an absolute treat to visit! We had an awesome dinner last night and followed with a Pumpkin SpicedWhite Russian made by Matthew the bartender! He is a phenomenal and knowledgeable bartender!! He is very clean, very timely and very personable but allowing you time to visit with each other! This is a must for anyone just driving thru or even at another resort, this is just a very nice relaxed place and not one single thing I can find negative to say! The entire place is incredible!! P.S. SEE MATTHEW❣️

Lemon Ice Box Pie is great too!!

Love this place. The brisket grilled cheese was the best sandwich I may have ever had. The bartenders were amazing – Sam and Lynn. We hung out there 2 days and everything was great.

Just so you know, there is no tall tale here with this place. It is just pure delicious and we enjoyed every bite. The service as amazing, friendly and took great care of our table. My only complaint is we don’t have one where we live in Covington, GA. Do yourself a favor and stop in if you are in the Branson area and you won’t be disappointed.
