Wife and I tried this place after reading the reviews and highly disappointed!! Every cut of meat, sausage, ribs, turkey, brisket were dry! Like overheated in microwave dry, hardly any smoke flavor to any of it let alone like the even seasoned the meat. Mac and potato salad was also very underwhelming. Mac just didn’t have “brisket flavor” which makes sense since their brisket didn’t taste good either. Potato salad tasted like someone just mixed mashed potatoes with a lot of mayo. Feel like you get better ribs and rib flavor from a McDonald’s McRib than here.
Definitely wouldn’t try again, save your time and money and go somewhere else

I got the three meat plate and a cherry cheesecake, the beans and potato salad were surprisingly really good, which caught me off guard in a good way.
The only average meat was the brisket, it’s good and that’s about it, while the ribs falls off the bone easily & tasty, but the sausage are very very good & unique from the other BBQ’s sausages around Odessa.
The cheesecake is by far the best BBQ dessert in the Odessa area and well worth the price for that dessert.
Lastly the staff are very friendly when I arrived, which is always a plus for BBQ Restaurants.
Overall if you have the budget for one or two, I’d recommend Tall City if you want something different from what BBQ places here usually have, great unique foods, totally recommend the Cherry Cheesecake.

Enjoyed my food. I ordered a 2 meat plate. Brisket and jalapeno cheddar sausage. Everything is on point. Not a fan of coleslaw and i became One today. Banana pudding Is good. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Must visit. They sell meat as well.

06-01-2024: I ordered the 2 meat plate with turkey and sausage, with brisket mac&cheese and beans for the sides with a sweet tea to drink. I also had the banana pudding for dessert.
The food was good and the staff was very friendly. The prices were a bit high in my opinion but otherwise everything was good.

The food is great, I tried all the meats on 2 seperate occasions, everything was awesome (ribs are to die for) the sides are delicious, the potato salad is next level along with the beans and brisket Mac and cheese. Highly recommend

First time, nice atmosphere, light music, order at counter, menu is simple. There is prepared, salad, beans, dessert in the food case to purchase, Barbecue is excellent, I had the special: two brisket tacos and a brisket tostada, charro beans. My husband had the brisk sandwich (huge). Orders come with tea. Total: 39.00. The simple menu doesn’t have prices. So go with a wad of $$.
