Great place to take the family that feels like a big ski lodge with incredible views tucked up next to the mountain. There’s always live music and kids running around, even inside in the winter. Great selection of local craft beer and imports, good food inside, and food trucks. Even 1 tv for a little bit of sports.

This is a beautiful place to get away and soak up the beauty of Connecticut. Friendly staff, good food and a bar that serves some of the finest German beers on tap. Not to mention Avon mountain right outside.

12 of us were there this evening and charged $5 per person to just get onto the grounds. (I hope this isn’t the new norm btw) Anyways, we knew there was a 90’s cover band at 8pm and planned to leave before then. If you wanted to stay for that it was $10 per person but we had two kids that were under 16 with us so we knew we couldn’t stay for it anyways since that was the requirement for the band viewing.

As a group of 12, we easily spent $300-$400 on food/dinner and drinks while we were there. Around 7 PM we were asked to either pay the five dollars extra to watch the band or to leave. We had not even finished eating and some of us hadn’t even gotten our food that we had already paid for. Again, this was an hour before the show. At 7:45 we were told again that we needed to leave or pay the extra $5 per person. We were wrapping up our meal and left shortly after. I am seriously disappointed with how we were treated this evening. We were paying customers and a very quiet group. Instead of requesting us to constantly be paying the additional five dollars, a kind suggestion that the band will be starting at 8 o’clock and that we needed to leave would’ve been fine. We all felt disrespected and unappreciated as customers who spent time and plenty of money there.
My suggestion is to take your business elsewhere where they appreciate their customers and don’t nickel and dime them.

I came here on Thursday night for a happy hour with some friends after hearing this new place opened up. I hadn’t realized it was St. Patrick’s Day but was happy with the themed food and happy hour specials.
There was a bagpipe group playing out front when we got there which was super cool to see and watch. They did move inside which I found way to loud for an enclosed space, we weren’t even able to have a conversation. But luckily they didn’t play for too long. They were great, don’t get me wrong, but it was just a bit too loud for inside.
The specials were great. There was plenty of wine choices, beer options, and other cocktails. There was also some bar food you could choose from and a great food truck outside.
Overall I’d recommend a stop it! The folks are friendly, its cute, and there are good options.

Went here for the first time to watch my Wilcox brothers and their lead singer Maddie perform! It was an incredible venue with very friendly staff. Awesome portion size on all their food too. View and sunset was unbeatable!

Talcott Mountain was such a great venue for our welcome party the night before our wedding! They were super easy to work with, provided us with plenty of tables in a section of the bar and made sure everyone was well fed. Would highly recommend for an event or even just to chill with a beer on the weekend!

Pretty cool little activity venue in a small town. Pretty good amount of things to do here. They have hiking trails, disc golf, food trucks, jam bands performing, a game closet, as well as some TV’s throughout the inside with multiple sports on. There is food and snacks inside as well as a variety of liquor choices. Lots of seating inside and out. Great spot for adults or families alike. They also have fire pits outside. Will be back.

Love the outdoor space and the beer selection. Affordable bar food available that hits the spot or food trucks on rotation. I do wish they kept up their fire pits more and didn’t charge a cover for bands if you’re staying outside. Either that or keep the outdoor bar open as late as the indoor and I’d be there all fall!

Really nice place on an old golf course with outside seats and dog friendly. Have food truck options and music. On a busy day, line for beer can take 45 minutes, so be prepared.
