From when we entered to when we left, we were given excellent service from the staff here. We came here for lunch with a group of 8. Most of the group went half and half for boba and drinks. The drinks came out fairly quick. Can’t tell if it’s a powdered fruit tea, but I enjoyed it. The boba wasn’t freshly made, but not a big deal.

I noticed the combo (special drink + bao bun) was available so went with that and the Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen. The bone broth is made of chicken and pork. The portions are massive and the bao bun was also pretty large. I was not able to finish all of my food. Food was amazing. I asked for chili oil and it had a smokiness, and still put out some spice.

Richard was great, and was helpful answering questions. He mentioned this opened up last October, and I’m surprised it’s not busier. If I’m in this area again, I’ll make sure to stop by.

We were very impressed and we will definitely be back. We ordered crab rangoons, a seafood ramen bowl and a stir fried shrimp ramen plate. The rangoons were melt in your mouth delicious, and both noodle dishes were well constructed and well cooked. We also had the fruit tea with popping pearls and it was delightful. The kitty robot that serves your food to the table is a nice touch that we enjoyed.

We went toTakumi on a Tuesday night after tennis matches at Veterans Park. The five of us decided to go based off of a recommendation of our friend’s daughter, who is a student at UNA. The restaurant was clean, bright and decorated in an Asian theme. It wasn’t crowded and we were sat immediately. Our waitress (she was excellent) was welcoming, accommodating and answered all of our questions before ordering. Four of us ordered the hibachi dinner (steak, steak, salmon and chicken and one ordered a ramen bowl. The food was delivered by a small novelty robot and the waitress made sure everything was correct. Reviews at the table were great from everyone. The Miso and Onion soups were given high praise. The ginger salad was really good, not watered down, like I’ve had from other places. The steaks were both cooked how they were ordered, and the salmon and chicken were both given two thumbs up. The raman bowl was also said to be good. I felt like portion size was adequate (I would have liked a few more veggies). My friends finished with what I think were wontons and they said they were really good too. The price is comparable to other hibachi places we have gone to and we would absolutely go back when visiting. On a side note, the store front was not busy the entire time we were there, but they looked very busy with to-go orders.

Our 1st visit was excellent. The service was great, and the food tasted so authentic. We had to Soup dumplings, coconut shrimp, pork bun, Korean fried chicken, and strawberry Boba tea. Every single item was delicious, fresh, and hot. The wait time was short, the restaurant was exceptionally clean, and the service was amazing. The suggestions from our server helped make our decisions easier and quicker. Thank you for a wonderful lunch. Looking forward to our next visit to try more amazing dishes.

We had a great experience at Takumi! The atmosphere is clean and traditional, with modern amenities. The Ramen was fresh and flavorful, and the Boba tea was made just the way I like . We will definitely eat here again (especially for a pork bun)!

Ate here twice; first time in October and today. Both times I ordered pork bun appetizer and the teriyaki chicken rice bowl for entree. My husband got a ramen bowl and my friend got a hibachi meal. I think the food was cooked well, and I personally felt it was healthier than going to eat at an Asian buffet. Meal portion sizes were fairly large. I found the wait times to vary between both times as my first experience we got food (main meal) relatively decent time. Today however it felt like we waited a long time and our food was not blazing hot like the first time. I found our waiter/waitress both times to be attentive. Environment is clean, relaxing, and generally pleasant. I also enjoyed seeing their robot cat, which brought smiles and laughter. I would come back in the future, but probably just to get light meals (appetizer) and their boba drinks.

I’ve been to most restaurants around the area and recently my fiancé and I had eaten at 5 guys in florence. As we ate i noticed this place tucked into the same strip building and decided to get a menu. This past weekend we decided to give it a try and we are ALL glad we did. The Ramen bowls were on point and so was the fried rice. Its not a sushi place so dont come with that expectation but they make up for it with a robot that literally serves you your food! All in all, great food and it won’t break the bank.

I tried the Tonkotsu ramen. It was hands down the most BLAND broth I have ever had. There was plenty of fat content so the broth had a good mouth feel but absolutely NO seasoning whatsoever. I know I’m not in Tokyo but damn, not at all what I was expecting. So underwhelming.

The presentation and the food items themselves in the ramen were great. However, I can’t get over the fact that I’ve had better broth at the Ramen bar at Publix or even from Nongshim instant Tonkotsu ramen. Which isn’t saying much. Maybe I got a bad batch or should’ve ordered something spicy to get some actual flavor, I don’t know. I was in the area for work. Wouldn’t buy it again but I’d try another variant and give that a shot, they certainly have a wide selection.

Pork sticky bun and pork dumplings were good as was the dipping sauce for the dumplings. Perfect amount of flavor and heat.

The staff was super friendly and the dining environment was wonderful.

AMAZING – this restaurant was so great. The aesthetic and ambiance of the restaurant is very pleasing and inviting. They have a ROBOT that delivers food to your table. We got a passion fruit smoothie and a mango yogurt drink – they were both very delicious! (The yogurt drink is really good, you can’t even tell there’s yogurt). The crab and cream cheese rangoons were also very tasty. We got the combo with our entrees, which came with a yummy chicken bun. The stir fry ramen is really good, it tastes like chicken lo mein, but better. The chicken ramen was also very tasty and the broth was very good. Overall the ingredients were very fresh and flavorful. I’m so glad this place opened and I will be coming back!
