We visited here for dinner during the week and enjoyed BBQ in a sen-private booth. I love the modern design of the space and that they offer private rooms for large gatherings and semi-private booths for smaller groups.
It is a great spot if you enjoy grilling your own food at the table. The ingredients are fresh, the cuts of meat are high quality, and the menu has a nice mix of beef, chicken, seafood, and sides. Also the drinks menu includes many alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Stopped by Takumi for a quick snack and was pleasantly surprised. The place is clean, welcoming, and has a cozy vibe, friendly staff, fast service, perfect for a quick bite.
I tried the regular ramen and the veggie dumplings and both were really tasty. The broth had great flavour, and the dumplings were fresh and well‑seasoned. You can tell they take pride in their food.
The décor is stylish, and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

We dined here recently for Japanese BBQ and the food itself was great — everything tasted good and we finished our meals feeling full and satisfied.
However, later that evening, multiple people in our group became unwell. My mom and dad both experienced sudden stomach issues, and I had severe nausea and vomiting. The symptoms came on unexpectedly hours after eating, which was concerning.
We’re not trying to place blame, but wanted to share our experience in case there may be a food safety concern. Posting this for awareness and hoping management can look into it for future guests.

Thank you Cindy & Emily. I’ve been coming to Takumi Japanese BBQ in Mississauga for about 3–4 years now, and somehow this place just keeps getting better. The quality is always consistent, the flavors are on point, and the experience never disappoints. Whether it’s the premium cuts of beef, the fresh seafood, or the perfectly balanced sides, everything is prepared with care and authenticity.
Cindy and Emily were fantastic tonight—super friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive. They checked in often without ever feeling overbearing and made the whole dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Service like that is rare these days.
Takumi has the perfect atmosphere—modern, warm, and energetic without being too loud. It’s a great spot for date nights, celebrations, or just unwinding with good food and sake. If you appreciate quality Japanese BBQ and great service, this place is a gem.
Still one of my top go-to spots in Mississauga. Highly recommended.

Newly established Jps BBQ AYCE. First of all they greet customers in Jps, and secondly their menu is pretty similar to AYCE in Jpn! We enjoyed authentic Takowasa, Chicken cartridge, Shishito pepper, Sake Clam on top of their quality meats like Triple A prime steak! We missed trying Poke bowl, but those items are hard to find especially AYCE restaurants.
They could improve some items like Tataki (over cooked) and Sushi (apple pcs inside not making sense) But over all, we definitely go back w our friends. PS, they offer 5% off on cash payments!!

We’ve visited Else Restaurant four or five times already, and it keeps pulling us back. The all-you-can-eat selection is always impressive—great cuts of meat, fresh seafood, and lots of sides to choose from, so everyone finds something they enjoy.
The team here is consistently warm and attentive, always checking in and cleaning the grill at just the right moments without interrupting the experience.
They’ve recently refreshed their menu, which makes each visit feel new again. We’re already excited to return and explore the new dishes. This is definitely a place we can happily come back to again and again.

There’s a minimum number of people for them to accept reservation, which just seems greedy. Plus, the headwaiter wasn’t welcoming nor very interested in patrons that are coming in. All sound like robots and looked too tired to care about their work. This is customer service, please do better.
Also, the price for an all you can eat sushi restaurant is too pricey.
I do look forward to giving this place another chance as the food wasn’t too bad. It could be be better. Please improve for all future dining patrons, thank you.

Went with my partner on New Year’s Eve. Waited 30 mins for a table, place was very busy but you could tell they were organized and prepared for the busyness of the evening. Service by Cindy was fantastic. Food came out quickly, plates were cleared away frequently. No complaints! Would highly recommend. Worth noting that, despite previous reviews stating one, they do not offer any cash discount (at least that was what we were told when our bill came).

Tried this AYCE Japanese BBQ place for the first time today on a recommendation… AMAZING!! Food was great, service was great, pricing was great! The Fougerite sushi was delish, the short ribs and brisket were tender, the garlic shrimps were a hit! All the servers were friendly, prompt, helpful! We’ll be going back for sure.
