The taste was OK. The presentation was horrible, but why do I have shrimp shells in my beef ribs platter? Which was upsetting because the person who I was sharing this meal with is allergic to shrimp.

Called to order food for delivery and was directed to order through grub hub . I hesitated at first because of prior bad experiences through delivery apps. I ended up waiting for an hour and a half for the food to arrive. When it arrived, the food had the quality and consistency of “school lunch” or “prison food” and it was cold. The cheese steak barely had any meat on it, and they skimped on the french fries- half of the container was full of fries, very little amount for what I paid for . My bill was $33.00 for a meal that was essentially worth $5.00… This business will not be around for very long if they keep this hustle going.

Hidden Gem! This place got great grilled food! I’ve had a few things off their menu but my fave’s are the beef short ribs and grilled chicken and shrimp platter! Their yams and mash/ gravy are made from scratch and with love. The menu is extensive and their are so many options to choose from. Besides what I’ve posted, I have also tried their butterfly shrimp, crispy hot wings and Mac&cheese.
Cons:
1. Parking: You will drive right past it twice before you find it and Google Maps will send you the back way to get there. It’s in a weird parking lot behind something like a bar
2. Location: it’s pretty much a hole-in-the-wall location. Upon going inside, it looks like it’s in the process of shutting down as 80% of the establishment is packed up and just the kitchen is available. You cannot eat-in, it’s strictly “take out” only. When you come, you have to ring a bell to tell them you are there and if your food not ready, no worries, it will be worth the wait.
I consider this spot a “hood favorite” as it always hits the spot.

My mom has been ordering from this place ever since the original Shrimpies.
Since I was with her I decided to try the grilled shrimp caesar salad and added on tomatoes and cucumbers….yeah looks like a garden salad now, but it was much better this way than plain lettuce for over $13. The shrimp were good and grilled nicely on skewers.
She ordered the fried shrimp and chicken wings, but of course they didn’t have wings just chicken fingers. The lady said they haven’t had wings as much lately. I guess if they can still charge the same price of $14+ for chicken fingers why bother with whole wings.
I’m not a fan of a lot of these takeout spots, but it hit the spot in that moment.

I ordered from Uber eats. The food came really quick and it was nice and hot. I ordered the dozen jumbo shrimp and two sides, mac and cheese and butter and garlic brocolli. Nothing had any flavor. Everything tasted bland. It was like they didn’t season the food at all. The brocolli seemed to be fresh, but the macaroni and cheese seemed to be boxed mac and cheese, not at all what i expected. The shrimps breading was not all that good, the breading looked old. but the breading was different than what I was used to. I used to order from and sit in Shrimpies all the time and the food was good. It seems now like the food is going down hill. They need to do better.

burnt shrimp and when asked not to add gravy ti my mash potatoes they did. the mash is lumpy and wet. and when i called requesting my food to be cook medium well the person on the other end said i was messing his food up. listen to your customers if you want them to return.
