November 9,2025 was a big letdown. The food tasted nothing like it used to — it was bland and lacked the fresh flavor I always enjoyed before. I ordered a Mexican burger and the meat tasted rotten . I took a bite then couldn’t stand the smell and taste I ask my friend to take a bite and she agreed that it had a bad after taste . Her torta de chorizo con egg also had a weird after taste . So she only took one bite too . I let the waitress know about the hamburger and she apologized and ask if I wanted to order something else so I ordered a chorizo con egg n beans burrito . After taking one bite it tasted so disgusting. I had it already with this nasty food and I let them know our food was just gross and she called the manager but manager didn’t care to solve the issue she told those non speaking English employees to charge me for the nasty Mexican hamburger and gross burrito! I’m like absolutely not ! The hamburger was taken back and the burrito was left on the table with one bite ! Not good enough food to take home to anyone just gross ! They end up charging me half of the hamburger n the burrito I didn’t even eat ! Shame on this nasty restaurant! I expected better from them since we have been regular customers ! I let them know we won’t be eating there anymore ! First red flag this taqueria is always empty . It’s cheap but I rather go pay few dollars more at another place than give these people my hard earned money for low quality and rotten tasting food !
It’s really disappointing to see how much the quality has gone down. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and brings back the taste and quality that made this place special.
Places like this are built by families who wake up early, work long hours, and put everything they have into serving their customers. When one of them disappears, the neighborhood loses a piece of its story.
So I decided to use my platform to help. I filmed a video asking people one simple question: What if your favorite local spot was about to close — would you show up for them?
The response has been amazing so far. People have been sharing the video and talking about supporting local restaurants in Pasadena.
If you’re reading this, I encourage you to stop by Taqueria Super and show them some love. Sometimes all a small business needs is a little attention from the community to keep the doors open.
And if you want to see the video and help spread the message, check it out on TikTok: @rickysdadramiroI recently made a TikTok video about Taqueria Super at 2902 Thomas Ave #500 in Pasadena, Texas, because I found out they were struggling and might have to close. I didn’t go there for views or attention — I went because small businesses like this are the heart of our community.
