Beautiful and relaxing space for a little tea and convo. My sister and I enjoyed our time at Take Tea and the lovely decor and atmosphere. Anu and her mom and our host Josh were all wonderful and I highly recommend a visit. I can’t believe we got super full off the tasty treats that were well prepared and beautifully presented to us. I especially appreciate the care taken for my gluten free needs. My sister and I also both purchased tea to take home and I can’t wait to go back soon. Thank you for the amazing service to Take Tea team.

As a British person (born and raised for 90% of my life), I was very embarrassed after bringing my American friends here.
I’ll start with the positive- the tea selection and teas themselves were VERY nice. The staff were also kind and friendly.
However, the actual food was terrible and NOT authentic at all. Dinner rolls? And cheese WITH jam in sandwich? I’ve never heard of such thing. It tasted as bizarre as it looked. And don’t get me started on the stinky cheese inside the prune thing. I gagged as I tried it. The scones were also dry and dense like hockey pucks, and the cream was not proper clotted cream. While clotted cream is not readily available to buy in the USA, it’s easy to make.
Overall, a proper afternoon tea should also be colorful, inviting, and tasty. Not dry, bland and beige.
It seems this place caters to unsuspecting Americans that don’t know any better, and no one has been honest enough to leave a negative review unless it was for poor or rude service.
None of my 5 friends in my group liked this place, including me. I would leave 2 stars, but my point isn’t to bring this business down, I write this is hopes they up their game…

This is a wonderful little spot. Cute decor, great atmosphere, excellent food, broad range of tea. My group unfortunately had an above average number of food allergies & sensitivities, and the owner/host was really kind & attentive in accommodating the various restrictions and still delivering an excellent service. She really captured the essence of that ‘formal tea flair’ or offering complex, unexpected and delicious combinations in tiny beautiful creations. I will absolutely be going back

We had an amazing experience at Take Tea! The owner is so lovely and matched our family’s goofy vibe. She put so much thought into all the small parts of proper English tea. Everything was so delicious. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended! We will definitely be coming back! We could tell that love and care went into both the food and the decor. Amazing experience (P.s. the cherry on top was the antique store next door. We enjoyed taking a walk through it after our tea)

Written as an American who has enjoyed afternoon tea abroad in all manner of establishments: What a wonderful tea room. Whether you’re with several friends, or looking for something more intimate, there is a space for you. Chef picks include delicious sweet and savory options for the day, each with different textures that add to their appeal. The tea selection itself had something for everyone, without feeling excessive (sometimes tea menus feature too much of a good thing) and the ambiance felt both feminine and warm. You’ll want to arrive right on time for your reservation, and come thirsty- the pots of tea are bottomless.

The cutest afternoon tea experience in Avon! The white chocolate matcha scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam were a favorite for our table. The teacups, menu and decor are so well thought out and charming. Anu is so sweet and attentive, we really enjoyed our experience here.
