Best Ramen in town!!! I’ve been in the food service industry 30 years. I’ve had a lot of ramen and this broth by far is the most delicious! You can taste the careful curating they must do! The Red Lady roll was delicious and the gyoza as well. The Nashville style chicken was the best I’ve ever had. The service was great, the tables were clean, bathroom very clean. Atmosphere nice. It was busy for lunch. I read a review from a few days back that was bad but I cannot agree with any of it. Sushi was assembled perfectly and nothing out of stock. Party of 3 and we had drinks, app, sushi, ramen and chicken Sando $99. Highly recommend *****

Takara Ramen is hands down one of my go-to spots. The food is consistently delicious, and I always order the miso ramen, it never disappoints. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are perfect, and everything tastes fresh and well-balanced.
The atmosphere is great too — relaxed, welcoming, and a perfect place to actually enjoy your meal. On top of that, the service is always on point. The staff is attentive, friendly, and efficient every time I visit. If you’re a ramen fan or just looking for a solid place to eat, Takara Ramen is absolutely worth it.

4.7 is a LIE! Our 4 person party went there for dinner at 6pm on a Saturday. Before we were seated the hostess explained that their 3 top selling Ramen were not available. Oh. Ok. We decided to give it a try anyway. They seated us in a booth that was pushed too close to the booth next to it so we have to move chairs to sit. The 4 surrounding tables were covered with dirty dishes. We had to ask twice for the hostess to bring us physical menus. The digital menus are a Google folder with multiple pages…it was hard to read. Our server was nice but came up short, explaining how the menu pictures are 7 years old and don’t depict the way the food actually….also, she Couldn’t Find metal silverware for anyone who could not use chopsticks so they got a tiny plastic takeout fork.
We ordered 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and the total bill BEFORE tip was $154!!!
The sushi was poorly assembled. They put a sweet paste on the bottom of all the plates so it over powered the subtle flavor of the sushi. Ruined all of it.
I have reviewed ALOT of restaurants in the Richmond metro and this was by far the worst food and dining experience I have ever had. There are so many other good places to eat. We wont be back.

I had the Miso Ramen and Tuna Avocado Roll. Food was so good I got a Poke Bowl to go. Outstanding and fast service, and the atmosphere was great. Awesome chill music playing in the background. Best experience I’ve had in awhile.

This review is a little biased as I have a certain spice level that I look for in ramen, so please take that into account. The flavors of the broths and the portion sizes were great (not enough spiciness for me personally though). They had a special deal to get a free fruit soda for reviewing on google in which our amazing server acknowledged (even though I didn’t plan to do the review until after leaving). The prices were decent which was great for the area the restaurant was located. Clean restaurant, and not a lot of background noise even though there were tvs on (showing food porn btw lol). I do recommend eating here if you are in the area, it will not disappoint.

Ordered to go for the first time this week. The food is good! Husband tried the chicken Katsu and he really liked it with all the sides, big portions as well. I got the Westchester roll and at first I was sad about the size but once you start eating, that roll will fill you up pretty good. Also got the steamed shrimp dumplings as an app, tasty as well. Overall, recommend.

Ordered 2 rolls and they were fine But before I ordered I asked if the California roll had real crab meat and was disappointed to learn that it was imitation. Also they were out of small dishes to mix the wasabi and soy sauce. How crazy is that? Used a small plastic cup that you might find at a fast food restaurant!

recently dined at Takara, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The spicy miso soup was absolutely delicious, perfectly balanced with a rich, comforting flavor. The braised pork was tender and flavorful, truly a standout dish. And the house salad? It had the best dressing I’ve ever tasted—fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Takara truly impressed me with its flavors and quality. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended!
