I’ve had Tajima Ramen many years ago but it was my first time trying it at the Plaza Bonita Mall. Since it was cold, ramen sounded like the best option for me.

The service was nice and I could see the staff working really hard. There was a bit of a wait but this was probably due to it being a weekend and it was right before the holidays.

I really appreciate them putting the damn into proper bowls instead of something disposable. It came out really hot even after picking it up from the counter and finding a place to sit.

Price was decent and the food kept me satiated.

Overall, not bad for mall food.

The ramen is delicious and I love coming here for it. Ive tried many things on the menu and though I am disappointed the ramen eggs are no longer part of bowl and must be purchased separately I still purchase them and enjoy them with the ramen. The staff are always friendly and try their best to get the food out quick and with quality, ive never had anything wrong with my ramen. My only complaint is the dust issue, you can see visible dust all around the front counter area, the computers and even the drink dispenser have a layer on them. If you look up you can see an even worse layer hanging all over the stainless steel and threatening to drop into the food. I love coming here but please make the minimum effort and clean it, this is a food sanitation issue that must be rectified or someone will get sick. I did not take photos as the dust is very visible and easy to spot. But I have no issue during my next visit offering some photos. Ill also be more then happy to correct my review once I see the dust has been cleaned.

For being a ramen joint in the mall it was really not that bad. I really recommend if it’s your first time to go to actual locations not located in the mall. That atmosphere of course is in the mall so it’s going to be loud, But the service is quick and the food was pretty decent.

I live near Convoy but we go to the Mall
for shopping, movies, RoundOne, etc. and it’s so convenient to have Tajima in the food court. I’d rather drive to National City than park on Convoy! The mini bowls are great for kids. Sadly, they stopped serving the Vegan ramen which sucks for me but the rest of my family still loves it.

Hi everyone, so we came to Plaza Bonita to hang out and maybe have a coffee. I saw this new restaurant called Tajima Ramen and said, “Let’s give it a review.” I immediately wanted the veggie Ramen because I have in mind what’s really good.

So when I received the bowl, btw it is a healthy portion for $14.50, I said, is there any way that I could get a little more broth? They said no. I said I would be doing a review, and I’m going to be honest.

They said it would cost an additional $2 or $4 for extra broth because it’s premeasured. I get that. Being in PB is expensive. It’s not the guys fault. He’s doing his job.

So that’s the only reason why I put a lesser star. The food was stellar. Very delicious. I didn’t ask for an egg because it would add up and be too expensive.

I still recommend the place and hope u give it a try!

I am a repeat customer now!

When this place first opened we came and the ramen was excellent. The bowls were filled to the brim and everything was piping hot and delicious. However, the last few times we visited, the portion sizes have significantly decreased and the quality has noticeably declined. It’s truly a shame because this place is close and convenient to our house, but it’s no longer worth the trip or the money. Sadly, we won’t be returning anytime soon to see if things improve. We now drive to Kearny Mesa for better ramen and suggest you do the same.

I really enjoyed the ramen here, but I’m disappointed that for the second time in a row, my to-go order didn’t include the egg I paid for. On top of that, the broth portion was very small this time. I understand inflation, but your prices are not cheap, and for what we’re paying, these details matter.

Originally, this ramen spot was fantastic, but I’ve noticed a decline in quality lately. The staff is always friendly, but I hope they can bring back the delicious flavors that made it a favorite!

So lame that they decided to remove the Tajima ramen from their menu. I find it super weird since it’s literally named after the place. Like why couldn’t they remove something else? That was literally the only thing the had going for them. Also the chashu is not the same anymore and it’s definitely not as tasty as the thicker one they use for the Tajima ramen. Such a shame.
