The food is so good and the service amazing. Lots of vegetarian options can be made vegan, for example the bhindi bhaji and curry madras. All curries come with yummy basmati rice. The samosas and onion bhaji were amazing as well. Would highly recommend!

Very nice cozy interiors with an old charm of how classy restaurants used to be in India about a few decades ago. The person taking your order is actually the owner of the place, who runs the whole place (taking orders, serving, clearing, cashier, spreading fresh linen after every guest, etc.)
On my first visit I tried the Chicken Saag (spinach dish). Then tried the Chicken Madras on my second visit. All curry dishes are accompanied with basmati rice The taste and the freshness of the basmati rice takes you back to India, just like it would be served at a North Indian home. I requested the saag to be made a little extra spicy, and the chef kindly obliged. The portions were sufficient for my appetite for an evening meal. The portions are served in traditional Indian serving pots and there’s also a cute little food warmer with tea lights beneath each pot to keep your food warm all thru your dinner.
It’s a dinner only place, so need to keep that in mind while planning to visit.
Will go there again to try other specialities from the menu

Dined on a quiet Sunday, but the quality of food and wine was superb – great for sharing if you are in the mood

Went on a Wednesday and it was very quiet. However the manager was pleasant and helpful. Good service. Food was good and the prices were reasonable. We had the set menu between four of us and there was more than enough for all of us. Also had Kingfisher beer.

Stayed at a hotel near by so a pleasant surprise to find an Indian Restaurant a few yards away. Wide-ranging menu with reasonable pricing and just right portioning. Very delicious food, but only local/German beer – nothing Indian on offer.

We literally found a hair in food and the manager was unapologetic about it.
He said “it happens”. So, next time anyone visits this restaurant make sure you find a hair in food, I guess it’s like a treasure hunt!!

Good luck

The service is as cold, as it could be.

I found a long strand of hair in the food. I was not furious, because i know its a mistake that could happen to anyone. But the fact that the restaurant service guy was so unapologetic about it made me mad. When i brought it to the notice of the restaurant staff, He said that sometimes vegetables contain it first handedly. This makes no sense.

While paying the bill i told it again to the guy, that i did not like whatever had happened. Instead of feeling sorry about it, or offering me a rebate on the bill, he said “ho jaata h kabi kabi”…. ie “it happens sometimes”.

Also, as an Indian i go out to eat food that i feel has a special touch that i can’t add at home. I told the service to make the food spicy as you would serve it in india. But instead of telling it forehandedly, the food was very plain. (maybe bearable spicy for a german, but as an Indian i eould label it boring and dull).
Disclamer-we only ate vegetarian food.

A WASTED EVE.
