We visited this restaurant with our family while on a trip to the Grand Canyon.
We ordered butter chicken, chicken curry, and goat curry along with tandoori roti and garlic naan. The food was good overall—flavorful and satisfying.
Since this is the only Indian restaurant in town, it’s a convenient and welcome option after a long day of sightseeing. However, the bathrooms were not very clean, which was a bit disappointing. With better attention to cleanliness, this place could offer a much better overall experience.

Very bad experience here!
They state different prices online and when we go there, it is a different price at the counter. We ordered just the curry- It was very small portion and it was around $25 very bad experience and would never suggest anyone to go here. I’m there was only three pieces in the curry very small for $25. They’re literally looting. And a piece of hair in it.
Would be happier if it was at least a good amount of portion for $25
Too pricey, for that kind of ambience and the portion they gave!!!
He says the curry comes with rice. That is the reason it was too pricey anywhere the curry comes with rice, but it does not increase the price because of the rice.
Been too many Indian restaurants but no one charged $25 for just curry.
If only there is a zero review, I could give that.

It was a surprise to find a Punjabi-Indian restaurant at the highway junction leading to Grand Canyon. Apparently, this was a former chinese restaurant and now serves as a good stop for truck drivers for a recharge. After couple of days on the road, we were craving for desi food and chai. The restaurant, while in need of a desparate renovation inside and out, has the essential Northern and Southern Indian food items.

I ordered 10 tawa rotis from this place, and all of them were completely disappointing , cold, discolored, patchy brown and white, and so dry they didn’t even look fresh. I went back inside to return them and pointed it out, but they just said, “That’s how we make our tawa rotis,” and refused to do anything about it. I’ve ordered from them many times before, but this time the quality was terrible, and what’s worse is that they wouldn’t even acknowledge the problem. They ignored my concern and didn’t offer a replacement or refund.
Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place and if you still choose to go, check your food before leaving because they don’t accept their mistake once you take it.

The place inside/ out looks horrible. Ordered curry – tasted very sweet . Chicken tikka is very dry as well . We are little bit concerned about how clean the food will be . But after eating those , nothing happens to us ….

This place is amazing! We just moved to Williams from Atlanta and it is so nice to find delicious Indian food so close! The butter chicken is heavenly and the garlic naan is delicious, so is the Lamb Korma and Goat Vindaloo. We’ve eaten in the restaurant and loved the Indian music videos that were playing on the TV and had take away when we were tired and the food is just as good. Highly recommend eating here!!

Food is ok . Chicken tikka masala and goat curry is fine. Naans were over burnt. Service bad , dirty plates and utensils. Restrooms was very dirty and not hygienic. I didn’t want to enter again to wash my hands . So washed hands outside the restaurant. I will not recommend!

I had a great experience at Taj Mahal Restaurant and Lounge. It was very close to my hotel and turned out to be the best place to eat after a long, exhausting hike.
The buffet was affordable with an excellent selection, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and truly satisfying—some of the best Indian food I’ve had. What made it even more special was that it was open on Christmas Day, when most places were closed. The staff worked hard and treated everyone with respect and kindness.
The atmosphere reminded me of an Indian dhaba-style experience—simple, honest, and welcoming. There is also plenty of parking, which is great for travelers and truck drivers.
Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Williams, Arizona, especially if you’re looking for authentic Indian food and warm service.
