Came for lunch on Sunday at 1:30 PM.
The restaurant features 21 tables and new carpet, making it an appealing space. Impeccably clean.

There are not many Indian restaurants that have buffets anymore and I love buffets because I get to try all the dishes at once. The Taj Mahal had at least 20 different dishes, including classics like Tikka Masala. Most of the food was room temperature not heated properly. My favorites were the mango ice cream and the carrot dessert whose name always escapes me. If Taj Mahal puts thermometers in the food to keep them at the proper temperature and focuses on their best dishes it could be a five-star restaurant. Probably offering coupons to the local Indian community would bring more people to the restaurant. Only 4 tables are occupied on Sunday afternoon.

This restaurant just reminded of why I fell in love with Indian food to begin with. 10/10. The perfect amount of spice and flavor with great sized portions. I will definitely be back and can’t wait to bring my family!

What a great place! Super clean and elegant. My wife and I are vegan and the manager walked us through all the best dishes for us. He was very helpful and friendly, and was happy to talk about the food and ingredients.
The food was amazing, the Aloo Gobhi was hearty and delicious, the Kadhai Vegetables were creamy and so flavorful. Everything was fresh and hot. The vegetable samosa appetizer comes with two and was plenty for us. We took some home because the portions are big. We’ll be back!

The food was delicious. After a long time i found best indian food here in Chicago. We ordered lahsuni chicken tikka, chicken katri, punjabi goat curry, saag paneer, rice and mango lassi. Everything was awesome and yes butter naan was perfect. Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures of all the dishes. But here are some pics of lahsuni chicken tikka and chicken katri.

Chef Dipam is the best in Chicago land area. We met him and he made the best dishes I’ve tried. Only in India you can find this taste and it reminded me of home. And Gopal was very attentive as always. Best restaurant! 100% recommend to go there and have a great lunch buffet or an amazing dinner.

I was tasked with ordering Indian finger foods for a small gathering of 15 people. I didn’t have prior experience ordering Indian food, however, the manager there Gopa, was kind enough to educate me about Indian food. He told me what items would be perfect for sharing and the amount of food to order. I ordered masala kulcha (cut in smaller pieces), masala lollipop chicken wings, and the vegetable samosas that came with brown tamarind chutney and green cilantro chutney dipping sauces. Everything was delicious. A majority of the people who attended the gathering never had Indian food before, however, they enjoyed the food very much. I highly recommend Taj Mahal. If you are new to Indian food I would recommend giving them a try. They have their lunch buffet Fridays -Sundays from 11:30am – 2:30pm. Everyone is super nice and they are happy to answer any questions you may have. They can customize your dish to be as mild or as spicy as you like. They are open for lunch 11:30am – 2:30pm and reopen for dinner 5pm – 9pm.
