We shared the mixed grill platter that included lamb chops, shrimp, and two different chicken preparations – it was all delicious and served literally sizzling hot. The chicken was all boneless white meat and very tender. Two of us couldn’t come close to finishing the amount of food in that platter! The only disappointment was since we were literally on our way out of town I couldn’t take the leftovers with me!
Even the naan was noteworthy – oftentimes garlic naan is “over garlicked” and gets bitter…this had just enough garlic mixed with butter to be flavorful but not overwhelming. The naan was also lighter and fluffier than I’ve had other places. This is now our go-to place for Indian! Can’t wait to return.
I first tried Taj Mahal Indian Cuisine nearly two years ago, and at the time, the food didn’t meet my expectations. However, we recently decided to give it another try—this time, we went close to their closing hours, so I wasn’t expecting the food to be fresh. To my surprise, several items exceeded expectations.
Samosa Chaat – 8/10
The samosa was fresh, and the toppings were crispy and well-balanced. A flavorful and satisfying start to the meal.
Biryani – 10/10
This was one of the best biryanis I’ve had in South Florida. The portion size was generous, and the dish was rich in tangy, aromatic spices. It was presented beautifully and packed with flavor. Highly recommended!
Nuggets and Fries – 7/10
The fries were done in a desi style—spicy, fresh, and crispy. A good choice for kids or those wanting a milder option.
Tikka/BBQ – 4/10
While the spices were well-marinated into the meat, it wasn’t cooked thoroughly. The color was overly red, which detracted from the appeal. However, the sizzler platter was served with a dramatic flair, and the sizzling sound added a delightful sensory touch.
Keema Naan – 4/10
This was underwhelming. The keema didn’t seem to be cooked separately and lacked the usual aromatic ingredients like onions or spices. The layer of meat was extremely thin and flavorless.
Malai Kabab (aka Malai Boti) – 8/10
This isn’t your typical minced seekh-style kabab—it’s more of a malai boti made from tender chicken breast pieces. Soft, juicy, and marinated to perfection. Great flavor, and it traveled well. Good presentation for a home order too.
Chicken Samosa – 10/10
Piping hot, perfectly spicy, and freshly fried—these samosas were a total knockout. The filling had just the right kick, and the crust was flaky and golden. You rarely get this level of freshness with delivery. A must-try if you’re craving a crunchy, flavorful starter.
Rasmalai Dessert – 10/10
Absolutely delightful! The plate came with four soft pieces soaked in sweet milk and topped with fresh nuts. The sweetness was perfectly balanced—not too overpowering.
Important Note:
I noticed that the restaurant’s medium spice level is significantly spicier than what’s considered “medium” at mainstream chains like KFC or Pizza Hut in South Florida. If you’re not accustomed to South Asian spice levels, I would recommend ordering your food mild.
⸻
This visit was a mix of highs and lows, but the biryani and dessert alone made it a memorable experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving bold, flavorful South Asian cuisine.
This is not a fancy place but some items are delicious!!!
Bonus, there is an Indian grocery next door!! Win win to also get indian snacks and stock up on spices.

Food was amazing and Great service.
Server and Host was very friendly and helpful.
Must try, You won’t be disappointed.
They have take out too.
We ordered a take out and the receptionist was very rude and anything we asked, we had to repeat 3 times for her to still screwup our order in the end.
The paneer tikha was watery, which meant no taste. The tomato soup was oily. And the fried rice had lentils in it! LENTILS IN FRIED RICE!
We told the receptionist that we wanted more garlic in our fried rice and she replied with – yes one garlic naan. I repeated and asked if they put garlic in the fried rice and she replied – we can’t share what we put in.
We asked if the fried rice was like pulav but the receptionist said it was not and that it was fried rice. To make her understand our concern, I mentioned we were looking for something garlicky and a little like the Indian version of fried rice as one of us was sick. We understand it can’t be the same, but lentils in fried rice?!
If you can’t share what you put in our food, you probably should not be working at or running a restaurant.
Even then, absolutely no garlic in the fried rice ♀️
WASTE OF MONEY HERE.
We will be going to other Indian restaurants in the area which have better food, better quality, and much better customer service. This was our first time here (AND LAST TIME!) and we only came here for tomato soup, which turned out to be oil tomato mixture – which tasted almost like a different version of rasam or sambhar.
The one star is for garlic naan btw.
