This place was phenomenal. I would even say it’s the best Indian cuisine in town in my opinion. My better half had the chicken tikka masala and I enjoyed a dish called Chicken 143. It was deep fried and then simmered in a sauce. It was called 143 because the ratio of ingredients in the sauce. I picked the dish because 143 is what my beautiful lady and I say to each other at times to say “I love you”. Let me just say that it was absolutely incredible. This chicken tasted very fresh and was well cooked and tender despite being deal. The sauce was great. I asked for a spicyness of 3 on a 1 to 5 scale and it had the perfect kick to it. Spicy enough to make my nose run but not so much that it could keep me from devouring every morsel. It was very savory. My girl really enjoyed the chicken tikka masala as well. They also had the best naan. It was very light and fluffy inside with a great crunch. Definitely recommend their butter garlic naan.
The service was also top notch. The place is family owned and operated. Our 11 month old daughter started to get fussy and the families young daughter started playing with her. It was very sweet. The service was very prompt and pleasant.
I will definitely be recommending this to my friends and coworkers. Will definitely come back to try more amazing dishes.
Thanks for your kindness and the great food.

Ate at Taj Mahal in poulsbo right in the little L shaped business complex across the street from Apache camping center. They are under new ownership as of June 2025. It was delicious!! We had peppered goat, mango chicken, lamb mushroom, butter and garlic naan bread and for dessert gulab jamun. Everything tasted fresh, the meat was tender, and all the flavors were on point!!! The staff and owners were so nice and accommodating!!! We will be going back to try more items.

This was our first time here. When i heard about this place opening up, I was very curious. I’ve had indian food, and they were good. This spot, however, was different. For me, the flavors taste more rich and it made me feel as if I was that close to a real taste of Indian cuisine! We met one of the owners too. She was super nice and was nice knowing a little bit about her and how the business came about.
We ordered pepper goat to start. Main dishes we got butter and garlic naan, mango chicken, and lamb with mushroom. Omg….the food was amazing! We had enough to bring home. For dessert we got the gulab jamun. Let’s just say, this dessert is a problem lol. Super yummy!
Overall, we enjoyed everything. From the food to the company. We definitely planned on coming back 🙂

We stumbled upon “Taj Mahal Curry and Tandoori” while out shopping at Costco! We were famished and wanted delicious Indian food so decided to give Taj Mahal a try; so happy we did!
It’s in the same plaza as a a gas station and other businesses so parking might be hard to come by if the one right in front of the restaurant is taken. It’s worth the extra time to find parking, though!
We so much respect for new businesses trying to get established and it’s always wonderful to find a delicious Indian restaurant. The service was so nice and the friendliness of the owner and the waiter who helped us was amazing!
The food, without a doubt, is top-notch Indian and can compete in any market. Generous portions, delicious food, and friendly service! Don’t let the location dissuade you from going in; you’ll be glad you did! Plus, you’ll be helping a new business stay in business and we will drive down from Port Townsend any day to dine at Taj Mahal!

Delicious meal with friendly and attentive service. The samosas were perfect with a good amount of spice. The chicken tandoori was moist and flavorful. The vegetable biryani and saag paneer were also very good. Their naan, raita, chutney and onion salad were perfect accompaniments to the main dishes. Overall an excellent meal. We will definitely return.

I bit of a wait for our food and checks. But wow, the food was absolutely amazing. The garlic Naan bread, goat coconut, chicken Tikka Masala, and the samosas was so yummy. They made it so well. The staff there are very friendly there. I would recommend trying this place then the one in Silverdale and it’s cheaper there too. Way to go you guys.

My goodness the butter chicken curry is off the chain!!! (Are people still saying that?) wow! One of the best Indian restaurants we had. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because the rice was tasteless I don’t know how that’s possible but there was no flavor and the man bread was covered in cilantro which threw off the flavor of the bread.

What a pleasant dining experience we had for our date night at this fine establishment. Our waiter, Puxsean, ( forgive me if I misspelled your name) was very gracious and had a nice, welcoming demeanor. He kindly greeted us and was prompt to take our order once we were ready. The food was delightful. We ordered 2 lassies ( one rose, and one mango). The flavor was very rich and it was brought out in a big gold colored glass. I was highly impressed by the velvety flavor and the bountiful portion. It was nice that there was more than one flavor to choose from. We also ordered a chicken appetizer, some garlic naan and the Chicken Aloo. The food was gently placed on our table very soon after we ordered. The rice was fluffy, the spices of the Chicken Aloo was beautiful. Our waiter checked on us periodically and offered us more garlic naan and rice as he saw we were enjoying it. I love naan and I hesitated to accept more but he subtly informed me that it would be for free. So, I accepted the offering. He promptly brought out more naan and it was made hot and fresh after we ordered it. The value of the price for such a beautifully prepared meal and the gracious portions was a sweet surprise. Most establishments would upcharge for extra food but it’s nice when it comes complimentary making sure the customers are happy and leave feeling full and well taken care of. Thank you for your courteous establishment and for hiring wait staff that are genuinely polite. Oh, how kind! We will definitely return.
