A+ Hospitality and Delicious Food!
Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant really impressed us with their outstanding hospitality. The crew was attentive throughout our visit: constantly topping off drinks, checking in to make sure we were happy with the food, and making sure we had everything we needed.
The food came out hot and full of flavor. Medium spice definitely packs a punch, so if you’re not into heat, consider going with mild or no spice. The garlic naan with cheese is a must-try: rich, cheesy, and perfectly baked.
There was plenty of parking available even on a Friday evening, though the lot is shared with a nearby bar. Overall, friendly service and great food make this a spot we’ll definitely return to!

Had a lunch date out with my coworker. I haven’t had Indian food in a decade and didn’t think I liked it. But we decided to try this spot. We had the Chicken Tikka Saag & the Chicken Karma as well as Basmati rice and Garlic & Cheese naan and regular naan! It was DELICIOUS! The meat was so tender, bread was hot and soft, the perfect amount of flavor and spices were used! I will be back!

I went to eat with my boyfriend and his sisters for dinner, it was maybe one hour before closing and the waiter/owner (not sure who it was) threw the napkins at us… we actually thought it was funny but it was rude. The food was great, everything was hot and the taste was there. But customer service could be better.
I came back to eat here, because the food was really good the first time and the second experience was really welcoming from the workers, they filled our glasses right away with water and kept checking up on us. I really appreciate all their hard work ❤️

Cuisine offers excellent and authentic dishes, with flavors that are truly on point. Highly recommended for anyone seeking genuine Indian food. While the restaurant’s atmosphere may not be the most inviting for dining in, it’s perfect for takeaway. The staff is very attentive, ensuring a positive overall experience.

This is my favorite indian restaurant in kansas city. The food is always delicious and never disappoints.
The garlic non is a garlicky dream. The chiquinttika masala is smooth, creamy and flavorful. And the mango Lassie is super delicious. I could drink a whole gallon of it.
The waiters are very attentive, but sometimes it could be a little much. I had 3 people constantly walking past my table at all times asking was my food good or sometimes just hovering behind us? It was a little bit uncomfortable but it’s better than having a waitress that doesn’t pay attention to you at all and only gives you one glass of water.
Highly recommend. Don’t forget to try their vegetable pakora!

Uber eats: the chickpea curry (chana masala) and paneer tikka masala were good. The paneer nan was good, it’s a layer inside the flat bread. They have the cheese dessert, the gulab jamun were texturally off, we liked most things we tried.

I have Middle Eastern friends in GA and I missed the flavorful dishes that they prepared. I stopped here hoping that it would be the same. The samosa, naam and chai was good. The briyani was the worst I’ve ever had. It wasn’t aromatic or spicy; it was extremely bland. There wasn’t any pieces of cinnamon, cardamom, clove, anise, etc present. It was rice with onion, bell pepper and protein with some sliced almonds (not sure why) on top. I’ve concluded that most of the customers have never had authentic Indian/Middle Eastern cuisine. I definitely won’t be back.

They rush you through your meal (more than 5 check ins almost every time I go) and do not add any requested spice; and dishes that are SUPPOSED to have spice do not. I order a vindaloo on medium and it tastes exactly like spaghetti sauce.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Missouri! Family-owned, everyone is super friendly and very accommodating when it comes to making changes to the dishes. Their tikka masala sauce is delicious, with just the right amount of cream and tomato base, bursting with flavor. My favorite dish so far is the shrimp tikka masala with paratha. The shrimp are plump, juicy, and perfectly cooked, while the paratha has a nice texture and chew to it. I believe they offer a buffet style during lunch, but I normally go during dinner. This is one Indian restaurant I frequently stop by to eat at! Highly recommended.
