I ordered through just eat! The chicken was stringy and squishy as if it was raw! It smelled awful too! Just eat wouldn’t refund me saying it was the style of the restaurant even though the pictures I sent them clearly show the stringy pink chicken!! Never using just eat or ordering from here again!

Food excellent. Some new staff trying hard to get things right.
This would have been a five star review, but unfortunately, the toilets could do with an upgrade or a good clean and decorating.
Just a suggestion. For people eating in, the menus should be different from the ones you use for takeaway.

We have been coming here for years each time that we come to Ammanford to visit my grandparent, and each time it’s delicious. Tonight it was particularly good – the service was great, the dishes themselves were superb, and the service was as attentive and friendly as ever. Although it was quiet inside, this was made up for with the great food and cobra – I can’t recommend enough for an Indian styled cuisine in Ammanford, and I will definitely be back. Thanks very much!

Food arrived late and cold, 4 pieces of prawns submerged in what I can only describe as a tin of tomatoes with loads of sugar, stone cold Naan bread and hard samosas. Total cost £21.80

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT.

We have ordered at this restaurant on a number of occasions and always had extremely tasty food here, it’s always piping hot and I have to say our last night’s delivery has to be the tastiest Korma we’ve ever had from any Indian restaurant

Where do I start, what an awful place! The review posted before mine sums everything up nicely, but I had to come here to add my experience.

We had ordered our food and expected the usual 1-1.5 hours as it’s a bank holiday. Turns out the food wait was over 3 hours!!!

What’s worse is that they consistently lied to us throughout the wait. All the excuses ranging from “we’re really busy” to “the delivery driver has broken down”. I even went to the restaurant in person after 2 hours and was lied too directly to my face! There was not ONE SINGLE CUSTOMER in the restaurant. I was told that my food had already left the premises and that they were “sorry”

As it so happens it later revealed that not only did the food not arrive before I got home, the guy on the phone afterwards said that “the food is still warm in the bag in the kitchen”. Literally, words cannot express how angry I am at this place. If nothing else, the bare face lies said over the phone and then again to my face are unforgivable.

I will NEVER order from Taj Indian Grill again, and I STRONGLY advise anyone reading this order from elsewhere. Don’t take the chance, it takes days for a refund from Just Eats and it’s not worth the hassle.

Ordered 3 vegetarian side dishes and a naan bread. Food tasted great, both me and my partner were satisfied with the portion size, and the bill came to only 8 pounds for each of us. The waiter was also very nice and friendly. We were the last customers before closing time, and we had a nice 30-minute chat with him about experiences living in different countries.
We eventually intend to come back for the Sunday all-you-can-eat buffet for 10 pounds.
Only suggestion I could make is to add more vegetarian main dishes to the sit-down menu. The only one I saw was the curry, all other options were side-dishes. The takeaway menu seemed to have a lot more vegetarian options that were not offered when eating at the restaurant.

Today is our 10 year wedding anniversary and I am seriously ill and confined to bed at the moment, so we were unable to do anything special. We thought we would get a takeaway to have at home to still mark the occasion.

Ordered from Taj at 18:30, with an estimated delivery time of 20-30 minutes. At 20:00 we called, as we were hungry and it had been an hour and a half. We were told that our food was with the delivery driver and would be ten minutes.

At 20:30 we called again. He said they are extremely busy and food would be another 20 minutes. At this point, I asked if he was absolutely certain that it had left the restaurant and he assured me it had. I asked how he knew, as I hadn’t given him my name, address or order number. He hung up.

At 21:00 my husband decided to go to the restaurant and collect the food. It had now been 2.5 hours since ordering and I have hypoglaecemia which can be fatal, so it was very important that I had a meal. When he got to the restaurant, it was completely empty. There was not one, single customer. My husband asked for our food, and he was told that the delivery driver had already left with it, and by the time he got home, it would be waiting for him.

My husband drove home, to no food. He called the restaurant again, and was told the food was ready in a bag in the kitchen. It had not left the restaurant, and it had not been given to him when he went there in person! The man on the phone assured my husband it had just left with the delivery driver. My husband said but you don’t know which address I am from, as I haven’t told you.

He asked for our address, and my husband made up an address. The man on the phone pretended to look up the address then told him that the food was on the way. He had lied to us about our order every step of the way. He then made up more lies about the delivery driver breaking down, then he had had an accident, then he hadn’t showed up for work. All lies.

My husband told him to cancel the order and we ended up having a sandwich for our anniversary meal. They completely ruined our evening, which was already not great seeing as I was too ill to go anywhere.

At 22:30, there was a knock at the door. I was in bed, as was our child. The knock set my dogs off barking, and it turned out to be our food order! FOUR hours after ordering it. We obviously sent it back, and the delivery driver had the absolute cheek to say, “What a waste”!! I am appalled. I have noticed this evening that four other people have posted on Just Eat, saying they haven’t received their food either, and that the man on the phone was rude and/or hung up. It is just completely unacceptable.

I urge anyone in the local area to avoid this place like the plague. I will now have to fight for a refund, which is always such a hassle, and we will never, ever be ordering from there again.
