The food was nothing short of amazing — flavorful, fresh, and absolutely delightful. Every dish was prepared with care and authenticity, making the entire experience feel special and heartfelt.
We left feeling grateful, happy, and already looking forward to our next visit. Taj Indian Bistro is not just a place for great food, but a place where you feel genuinely cared for. Highly recommended!
If you are traveling from Memphis or any other place in Tennessee but will not be able to make it to the restaurant before closing, Kamal can take an order over the phone and have the food delivered to a nearby gas station(pilot) for you to pick up late even after the restaurant is closed. And I was told that many truck drivers have been utilizing this option. This is a great idea.
We got there at 3pm on a Saturday [and may have gone to another place, but they closed at 2:30pm, so it was fortuitous that TIB was open] so the place gets bonus points for convenient hours, at the very least.
The host [and perhaps also the owner] was very solicitous on our behalf, and, seemingly tag-teaming with who I presume was the actual waiter, was helpful throughout the meal. He made suggestions that both my kiddos [both going with the lamb biryani, spice level one] and my wife [chicken curry, spice level two] loved. I went with the lamb vindaloo [spice level three] and really enjoyed it. Unless you’re a really big spice meister, I’d say going with spice level four would be as far as I’d go. The third tier had a nice little kick on the back end but still good flavor. It didn’t make me order a gallon of water, but the spicy flavor was definitely there on the back of my palate. I like spicy food – typically opting for “Thai spicy” at most Thai places, for example – but I think going to 5/5 on the spice meter at this place would have been begging for trouble… and maybe also a visit to the gastroenterologist. Anywho, all four of us enjoyed our meal a good bit and plan on going back whenever the craving for Indian food coincides with a trek to Knoxville.
There was some R&Bish Indian music that they were playing, but fortunately not cranked up to eleven so we didn’t have to yell at each other to be heard… in case ambiance matters to you, this place didn’t spoil it like so many places do with one too many decibels.
And there you have it. If you’re in the Turkey Creek area and want something with a curried flair, this place should hit the spot!
The flavors were so vibrant in each dish!!! We received an ample amount of rice and everything was still perfect temperature upon arrival, meaning that it was made fresh.
I definitely want to try the lunch buffet and some other items that weren’t on my Uber eats menu such as the goat. I will update this review once we dine in.
The food was phenomenal this time. Zero complaints. I will say that $60+ dollars was a bit bunch for take out, but I know that some of those changes were because of Uber Eats.
I highly recommend Tak for takeaway and will update when we dine in.
Keep up the great workk!!!
The food was okay, but I have never ate indian so I can’t compare.
Last but not least, the roach was disgusting!!
No I don’t need a Togo anymore thanks.
We tipped 20% not all the waiters fault.
It would have been better if a customer sees a roach to at least say sorry.
