I took one taste and threw everything in the garbage. Save your money and go elsewhere.
Chicken was absolutely inedible and stringy.
Pork dish was devoid of pork.
I don’t know how they stay in business.

I will never order here again. This sesame chicken is so tough and the rice is entirely too soft and it’s all stuck together, I can’t even mix it up. I requested extra sauce but they only gave me one of each sauce for my ENTIRE MEAL… definitely not enough. I’m so disappointed because I am starving and in my lunch break.

Lovely service! Our order came quickly, and the person helping us was really kind. We got the chicken lo mein, kung po tofu, and pork egg rolls. It was great!

Our adult son ordered online for pickup. Other son picked up and waited nearly 45 minutes for the order! The man apologized for the wait but still… We live 10 minutes from the restaurant. Food was the worst Asian food we have ever had. The sesame chicken and General Tso’s chicken were so tough and chewy we wondered what it was or how it was cooked—- not edible. The chicken with broccoli was a bit better. The Vegetable Lo Mein was ok. Such a disappointment and cost $70. We will never return and I’d advise others to avoid if you want edible food.

If I could give zero stars I would. The kung pao chicken was absolutely disgusting and inedible, deep fried, greasy and insanely salty. The lo mein noodles tasted/looked like spaghetti noodles and were also somehow just absolutely greasy. Will never order from here again, save your money and just cook at home or something. This place sucks.

We have been going to Taiwan Garden for over 20 years (possibly 30?). We love the delicious menu, generous servings, reasonable prices, and the very friendly service. Our adult children have all moved on now, living in Maine, Brooklyn, and Florida. They are well traveled, well experienced in restaurant dining, and they and their parents all agree: Taiwan Garden is THE standard against which they measure all other Chinese restaurants.

Some of the worst food I’ve ever had, for 5 people and everyone agreed the food was awful, fried rice was like corn meal, orange chicken was so over cooked I couldn’t tell the difference between breading and meat, lo mein was awful and flavorless, sweet and sour chicken was mostly dough.

Don’t waste your time, money and taste buds. We were very disappointed with everything we bought. The Moo Shoo Pork and Pork Fried Rice were practically devoid of Pork. We ate some and threw the rest in the garbage. If you want good Chinese food, go to the Tea House in Crozet. We would have gone there but it’s closed on Monday. Decided to try an alternative and we were most disappointed.

Best Chinese in C’ville. Earlier in the afternoon I called to see if they offered a vegan soup. Later after I ordered our meal (including a different soup) online I received a phone call asking if I wanted this soup in a vegan version. I was impressed that they remembered my call and verified that I also wanted this soup vegan. The meal was excellent. The only thing I will ask next time is to cook the veggies al dente. We’ll be back.
