I ordered shrimp and rice, it was bad. It usually has egg, but this time there was too much, and the shrimp were breaded or leftovers from another order, and the rice was bland.

Outstanding service and a really pleasant atmosphere! The food is excellent also, although everything we ordered was a bit sweet. Prices were fair and portions were on the larger side. What stood put the most though was the exceptional service. Despite the establishment being very busy when we arrived, we were seated quickly. Our glasses were never empty, staff was very attentive, personable, and always smiling, food arrived shortly, and anytime we needed something a member of staff was already there ready with what we were going to ask for. 10/10, earned all the stars and we will certainly be back.

Reviews were great so we tried this restaurant. Best Chinese restaurant we’ve been to in Charlotte. Service was quick. Food came out quick and right out of the wok! Hot! Shrimp fried rice was loaded with shrimp. Broth on broccoli and chicken was perfect. Meals include an egg roll or spring roll! And they brought a carafe of soda with my drink so if I ran out I could replenish without waiting for waiter! Probably the first time I’ve seen that in any restaurant.

Great experience, they are located in small mall with plenty of parking. Their service is exceptional, once I walked in they acknowledged me and found a table for us. The food was plenty, delicious and at a very good price, our server was a very nice lady which was always accessible and very fast. Will definitely visit again.

We walked in to great customer service and great food. The scallion chicken was really good. It had a nice crispy coating and that sauce was just right with some rice. We also had some sesame chicken and that was on point as well. Pepper steak was good. Beef on beef lomein could use some seasoning. Service was great. Overall great done in experience. Highly recommend. Forgot to take photos because I was hungry….

Went there last night for dinner with friends for the first time. Some of the best Chinese food I have had since we moved down here eight years ago. Service was fast and efficient and everybody loved their entrée. Prices are very reasonable too.

I’ve been going here for over 20 years best Chinese food. They will charge you a 20% tip if your 4 or more or 5 or more I can’t remember so make sure you check that on the receipt. Prices have sky rocketed also so I don’t go as much as I used to. Still the best in Charlotte.

Taipei South is a very good local Chinese Restaurant! Service was very quick and efficient. Food also was very good. Nice variety of lunch menu items and the prices were quite reasonable. The interior is quite dated, but I’m sure that helps keep the prices down and the quality high.
Only complaint was the Eggroll which was very overcooked on one side and soggy. The orange chicken was very good. Soup good too!

9/10 times I come here, I get a good meal. The food can be a bit salty which is my only complaint. Also, you do have to specify if you want all white meat chicken or they will give you all dark meat. Same price, it’s just something to be aware of.

Great food and customer service at fairly low price. The food were fresh and tasty. A single person can dine with just one entree. The chicken felt really soft and tasty.
