People say this is one of the best tawiwanese spots. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. I got their ultimate beef noodle soup, beef roll, and Dan Dan mian to try. And lemme just tell you, NOTHING HERE MISSED. The beef noodle soup was LOADED with tender, savory, juicy, perfectly lean to fat ratio meat, crunchy bok choy, bouncy QQ noodles that didn’t get mushy, and a rich flavor packed soup that kinda reminded me of like a tonkotsu style broth. Pure deliciousity. And The beef roll had a flakey, crispity crunchy cong you bing, was loaded with more of that awesome brisket and had some pickled cucumbers to help cut through all the richness. Could use a bit more tho cuz it was a tad on the oily end. And finally the Dan dan mian MNM. Rich, nutty, savory, slightly spicy, qq noods paired with MORE BEEF and pickled veggies to help balance out that richness. Lowkey my grandma might have some competition because this is pretty good.

Ultimate beef noodle soup $18.75
Brisket Dan Dan mian $17.50
Beef roll $11

Ultimate beef noodle soup is the way to go for me. Flank, tendon, brisket. Each ingredient is full of flavor and care. The broth is excellent and all the times I’ve been here has remained consistent in quality. The scallion pancake is crispy and delicate. I cannot be in the area without having the soup here.

I have had noodles here twice. Both times I have had a great experience.

This time I ordered Spicy Beef Noodles and added sprouts and cabbage. The staff is really chill, and the service is very friendly and straightforward.

My order took about ten minutes. Everything tastes very fresh. Total for the noodles and tip was about 25 dollars.

I’m Taiwanese and the ultimate beef noodle soup was delicious and hit the spot. Beef was tender, soup was balanced, and the noodles were different than the flat white ones but very chewy and fresh, I think they make it there daily. Pickled cucumbers and cabbage were also crispy and not too sweet or sour. I like the modern take on the beef noodle soup, and washing it down with a sarsaparilla soda was perfect. Owner was also super nice, recommended the chilli crisps which added a nice kick to the soup too. Definitely coming back

Small bowl with little beef shank.
I used to go to some authentic Taiwan restaurants for this famous Beef shank noodle soup, so I know exactly what it suppose to look like and taste like. Plus, I like to try new restaurants and flavors in this newly opened food court in West Covina, so I ordered a beef shank noodle soup. I was very disappointed!
The bowl was not a normal and traditional Chinese noodle soup bowl. It looks like a flower vase rather than a noodle soup bowl. By doing this, customers will get much less amount of food than they are paying for. Plus, the half raw vegetables are taking the most space on the top of the bowl. The reason is that, there are only two small pieces of beef shank on the top of the bowl. The container has a very narrow bottom area, so you are not going to get a lot of noodles and soup down there. The worst thing is that the soup was super greasy and salty, so I consider that it is very unhealthy for anybody to take so much fat and sodium at this restaurant. The price is not cheap for such an unhealthy noodle soup: it will cost you 17 dollars.
Well, lessons learned, next time, I certainly will not come back to this restaurant again.

It’s in a food court. Not that it matters to our enjoyment. It was really good beef brisket noodles! Quality succulent fork tender beef brisket, sticky meltingly gooey beef tendon, al dente yellow noodles all drenched in a spicy thick soupy gravy. Lots of
condiments, served with sides of pickled cucumber and cabbage. And an optional side of deep fried pork chop. And super spicy chilli sauce.
Tip: There’s a craft beer shop next to OG and their craft beers pair so well with the noodles

I appreciate a local noodle shop constantly improving itself to be better. And this place show consistency time after time. When I eat here, it just gets better and better. The owner is really taking feedback and improving the product. Soup is hotter now, before it was too lukewarm. And the noodles are tastier and chewier than before. There a bounce to the noodle.

Still a fan of this noodle’s beef confit braised beef noodles. Just the right amount of spice and beef taste.

Even take out is good. Definitely a repeat on winter days.

It is in a Haven City West Covina. They make their own noodle and the broth is the best thing. Excellent taste. The beef is so soft it melts. Definitely one of the best beef noodle soup you can find in US.

Delicious food, but the value of food to price just isn’t there.

Located in the main area of Haven city market near the back right. Parking is easy in the plaza. The place is clean, staff is friendly.

We’ve been here twice, the first time it was for their a la carte fried chicken and pork chop. Didn’t take pictures, but I think It’s pretty pricey for what you get. I will say flavors are good, plenty of seasoning and crispiness. I loved the spicy sauce that comes with it, goes very well with the chicken and pork chop. I won’t get it again, the amount of chicken for the price just isn’t worth it. There’s also a better Taiwanese chicken place in the same market. the pork chop I would again if I was in the mood, but again pricey for what you get, but at least it’s cheaper than the chicken

Had the OG beef noodle soup. The food is delicious, definitely something that made you feel like family made it at home. The broth was tasty, not too heavy and I love the hint of spice in it. Noodles were cooked well and the meat was very tender. But again, the price is just on the higher end for what you’re getting. The amount of noodles, two pieces of beef and two bok choy.

I really enjoyed the food here, but what’s really holding this place back is the food to price value. There’s so many options at Haven City that at their pricing or portioning, I would go somewhere else. If there’s times when I want some comfort food, I’d come back and try it again
