Tailwind Tavern in Hopedale, MA absolutely nailed it with their remodel — what an incredible transformation! The aviation theme is spot-on for being right at the Hopedale Airport, and you can tell every detail was thoughtfully designed. The atmosphere is fun, modern, and welcoming with a huge wrap-around bar, tons of seating, and awesome TVs everywhere you look — perfect for catching a game or relaxing with friends.
Now, let’s talk about the food — wow! We started with a bowl (yes, a full bowl!) of clam chowder that was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The portion was generous, and every spoonful was comfort food bliss. The fish and chips were just as impressive — a light, crispy batter, served with golden fries and extra lemon (just the way we like it!).
Tailwind Tavern has definitely taken off — fantastic service, great atmosphere, and even better food. This is one spot that’s worth the trip to Hopedale! ✈️

Theres not a clear sign for Tailwind, but the entrance is to the left of the pizza market.
$75 bill for no drinks, a 12-inch pizza, steak tips, and wings ($15 for 6 wings). Service was friendly, but the cost is just too much for okay bar food at a neighborhood bar.

This is my first time since they opened. I actually went for the James Montgomery show, but I had the ribs and my wife had the chili and they were outstanding. The drinks were great. The bartender is a very friendly will definitely be back.

I went today with my wife for lunch. Only the bar was open but it was the Full Menu. We each got the French onion soup, chicken wings, and the hopedale citizen pizza. (We also had some beers). There was a great selection of drinks and the food was excellent. Their French onion soup was delicious, and the wings were cooked perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, they were smothered in sauce and came with an excellent blue cheese dip. The hopedale citizens pizza is a favorite of ours from the pizza market and it never disappoints with the crispy Peperoni, and a few cheeses all topped off with a spicy honey. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a great time at Tailwind Tavern. The food was on point! Everything was delicious, and we especially liked the chicken wings and meatballs. Service was outstanding, the staff were attentive and quick. We’re looking forward to going back for weekly trivia.

I’ve now been to Tailwind 3 or 4 times since they opened. Each time, I’ve tried something different. The food, drinks and service have all been excellent. This is easily one of my favorite places in the area to grab something to eat while watching a game and I look forward to going again.

Tailwind is the kind of bar you end up calling your new spot after one visit. Clean place, sharp layout, good drinks, no nonsense. The real reason it works, though, is the bartender, Robyn. She actually runs the room, not just pours drinks. Fast, remembers orders, handles idiots without breaking stride, and somehow still makes everyone feel like they’re getting VIP service. Drinks come out right, strong, and without the usual waiting-around-for-someone-to-notice-you routine.

I don’t get time to go out often for a beer and bite to eat, but this place is in a great location! The staff are all friendly and remembered me after only one visit, the food was excellent! Plenty of TVs to watch whatever games you want and they are happy to switch one for you if the one you want isn’t already on.
