Food was really good! I got the burger with a side of potatoes. It’s hard to mess up a burger but this was definitely a pretty good one!

Beer was also super tasty, server incredibly nice and lots of TVs to watch football. Bonus points this place has a killer view of the lake. I would come back this place is a solid choice and has a little bit of everything you would expect from a sports bar/brewery.

Bonus points they also have a pretty good selection of Japanese food.

Ramen was barley warm, sushi rice was very dry and the potatoes, while tasty, were also cold. Even after asking for a warm up of the ramen, it still came back to the table tepid. Considering a $30 tag for that bowl of ramen, it should have been to temp and come with better service. A group of patrons were standing very close to our table talking loudly and wouldn’t give us space. No drink refills? This begs the question, “Is this a taproom/restaurant or a bar/nightclub?” No knives/forks until we asked, and then they only brought us three napkins for the four of us. The burger was passable, though.

Even for a tourist area, they charge like an upscale establishment and the service and quality just weren’t up to par when I was there. Wanted to treat to a nice dinner, my family and we left frustrated and unsatisfied.

I can’t say enough great things about Tahoe National! Kind of a hidden gem down by the lake (down below the main drag in Tahoe City – easy to accidentally drive right by).
Great food with a varied menu that is very well done. Super friendly staff who are willing to help you out with any food or beer recommendations. And, amazing fresh brewed beer with all of your favorite styles, but also some unique brews that you never knew you’d love (and of course they will give you free samples to try before you buy).
Of course there is a lot of great beer and food in the Tahoe area, but this place is a standout in offering a very well-crafted and unique selection of both, served by a staff that is very down to earth, but clearly very proud of what they are producing.

You may ask why this is a one star. The reason is the management at attention to service. We walked in before the rush hour, sat down and waited for 10 minutes for someone to take our order. When we finally were taken care, we were told that perhaps the three most popular plates were not available. We had to scramble to select other options, which were not to the taste of our group. The items not available were chicken wing, hamburger and another plate I cannot remember at the moment. So imagine a Friday night and a restaurant does not have chicken wings and hamburgers, the classic dishes in any bar. Ridiculous! But the reason I am giving this place a one star is the condescending, gaslighting and disrespectful manager/hostess. When I approached her out of sight of others to say that should not happen, she was completely dismissive. I did not want anything as I already had paid and left a 20% gratuity on a good that was overpriced (and I understand we are in Tahoe but if that is the price the food and service should be at the level that the place set the bar). The Phillis cheeses take was under-seasoned, by the buns were good. Will say that service by our waiter was superb and he did the best he could. As much as I hate doing this, this is not a location I would support.

Ate outside and it was amazing to sit on the deck and look at the lake while we ate our food. Service was pretty good and food was pretty alright. We both got cheese steak sandwiches with tots. It was 18 for a cheesesteak but I didn’t feel cheated. Overall a good experience, you have to go around the back of Safeway grocery store to find it. Little bit hidden, but worth the search.

We should have figured the burger wouldn’t be great when they didn’t ask for the preferred doneness – the burger was overcooked and difficult to swallow. Beers were decent although they ran out of some options during dinner. Overall passable option for dinner in Tahoe.

Beautiful lakeside location with a nice big dog friendly patio, good draft beers brewed on-site and good pizza. The deep-dish pizza tasted better than it looked. We almost sent it back because the top and crust were pretty blackened, but I hate sending food back, so we persevered and it was better than expected. Not great, but not bad. It was $38 for a borderline burnt/mediocre medium pizza with 6 slices. My boyfriend and I each had 2 slices and 2 beers and were full. The pizza made for good leftovers as well. I enjoyed the two different draft beers I had; the amber type lager (can’t recall the name) and a seasonal beer. The service in the bar area high tops was ok. Water is self-serve. They are on par with other local breweries and were very nice but nothing outstanding. Overall, a cool new-ish spot for a beer and an excellent view.

Fantastic service, quality cocktails, and amazing live music last night (Jan 23)! Major props to the band. They were really incredible.

Not many GF options (I think just wings and a salad from what I saw) — but the salad was hearty.

Fantastic view of the lake with good food and cold beer!!!

Was visiting Tahoe and wasn’t some good food and cold beer after hiking all day. TNBC hit the spot!!! We were even treated to some live music on Friday night.

Wether you are a local or visiting, I’d highly recommend.

Pretty good, but service was a bit slow, and it’s pricey for what it is (Ramen with short rib was $35, small deep dish pizza was $38). Also, on top of that there was an $11 fee for not paying in cash!
