Craving some soup and this place was at the top of the list. Not sure if there are a lot of options in the area for hotpot.

Service was great, servers were friendly and helpful. Occasionally checked up on us, but the restaurant wasn’t to busy when we were there end of May on a Wednesday.

Angry Shrimp and Tahoe Buffalo wings were excellent. So much flavor and fried to perfection. Those are a must order!

For the hotpot, we ordered Vegetable and Tahoe broth – both were light in flavor, maybe on the bland side. I normally prefer the lighter flavors and this was even too light. The meat cut and portions are good quality, vegetables that come with the meat combos are enough for 2 people max, so order extra. A bonus is that they have 3 delicious dipping sauces that I basically ended up cooking the meats in the broth, dipping in the sauces, then into the mouth. They have other broth flavors that may be more flavorful, but just make a note on the two I mentioned.

Restaurant is clean and very decorated, they share a parking lot and it wasn’t crowded when we were there. I’m sure if I came back in the winter I would find my way here again!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were vegan and gluten-free options here – not many, mind you, but it meant that I was able to have a decent meal here. There is a vegan mixed vegetable & tofu soup for hot pot, and a good number of add-ons (several leafy vegetables, baby corn, sweet corn, 3 different mushrooms, and tofu). There are also glass noodles for a gluten-free option, too! Bonus: the staff seemed to have a good understanding of what vegan and gluten-free means, which is sometimes a challenge!

I did the mixed vegetable & tofu hot pot soup and added enoki mushrooms and the glass noodles. The broth was delicious and the ingredients (once cooked through) were also quite tasty. My only gripe is that the mixed vegetable & tofu combo only came with one shiitake mushroom for each half of the hot pot (so, two total, since I got the large and it is therefore two halves of the pot).

It did come with a good amount of tofu, so you can get a fair amount of protein that way. But I will say that I got hungry not too long after we left the restaurant, so while the volume of food was a lot, it wasn’t that much in terms of calories, fat, and protein to keep you feeling full.

Beef large size is good for two ‘small eaters’.

Miso soup is good.

Tahoe soup tastes like meh.

Lobster ball is normal.

Price covers all negative sides. It’s so cheap! If this restaurant keep this price, it won’t get less than 3 stars ever.

The quality is so good for this price!

Very nice service and it was easy to get a table for 8 Sunday evening in August. The menu is a la carte instead of AYCE, so you can order what you want. All main courses (Chicken, pork, beef, kobe beef, or seafood platters) include a small tray of veggies. Or you can order each vegetable or each seafood individually. Large platters feed 2 to 3 comfortably. Broth choices are Spicy Tom Yum, Tahoe pork bone with herbs, Miso, or vegetable. The bone broth and Miso broth were very flavorful!

Loved everything about this place. Portion sizes were decent, though if you’re a big eater like my husband plan on eating a large to yourself. Meat is thin and delicious. Staff was so courteous and explained everything well!

Worst experience at a restaurant in the Tahoe area ever. First they left my friend sitting at the door for over 20 minutes they never said anything to her never asked her if she wanted to table nothing. Then after I got there we had to wait another 10 minutes for them to clear off a table then we ordered drinks and appetizers we waited 20 minutes and they never came with her drinks we ask the waiter for a drinks and we waited another ten minutes and which we did had to ask her drinks again. Then we wait 15 minutes no appetizer. Then we waited for them to bring the pot and they brought the pot with the food but then we had to wait for them to heat up the pot so that we could cook or meal. They forgot the ladle the appetizers still we asked for them again they walked around came back for got them we asked for them again forgot them they forgot the dipping sauce so by the time we were done they had forgotten the ladle the appetizer that dipping sauce are drinks the pot. When we told them what was wrong with the entire meal they said they were fairly new but yet they owe own the place next door and there’s no excuse for it. Worst service ever in Tahoe the food was not that good overpriced and I would not recommend it to anyone.
