On a Thursday 5pm stopped by for some food & drinks. We had vegetable fried rice, teriyaki beef & scallion pancakes, all good. Service excellent, waitress checked on us several times. Fog Cutter & Mai Tai excellent & strong drinks.

The best traditional polynesian food!!….not salty, full of soy sauce or greasy. Abundance of tropical cocktails. There are few and far between old school Chinese restaurants and lounges left. Comfy low tables and cushy seats with an old tropical mural on the wall. One of my favorites. Vintage is good, don’t let those who criticized the place in a review influence you. It’s a gem of a place for over 50 years!

If I could I would give this place a zero and here’s why. I came here with my family and the food was horrible. My rice was drenched in soy sauce, my chicken was under cooked, the ribs were burnt, my silverware was dirty and had yellow spots, the seats had crumbs all over, my coke had a fortune in it, my sister asked for a piña colada with no alcohol and it had alcohol. Lastly the food and beverages were overpriced. A tiny to-go-cup was 2.50. This place is a waste of time and money. DON’T EVER COME HERE!!!!

I NEVER leave reviews. But this place brought me to it!!!! The ABSOLUTE WORST service I’ve ever dealt with!! Waiter was extremely rude, left us with tea but no spoons. Ok. I asked for a substitution and he brought us out extra of the food we requested out. When asked about it the reply was “that’s what I heard.” And then walked away! Put down food on table without saying a word. Check time, I was watched like a hawk. Upon payment, grabbed receipt to see how much he recieved in a tip. NEVER SAID THANKYOU. For dining. Nothing.

I’ve been living in the area for over 5 years and I often see the parking lot is super packed, so I was excited to give it a try. I was also impressed that they stay open to 1am even on weekdays – so this heightened my thrill and expectations.

Overall Tahiti is a good place if you want to go home in disappointment. Honestly the food was very nasty, and almost everything in the restaurant was dirty like the sliver ware, furniture, plates, and ect. The only good thing I can say about this place is they have good chicken that’s about it your better off getting McDonald’s

They use white meat for their chicken teriyaki, so a big thumbs down for that dish, because the dark meat is much better for that dish.
