The food is amazing, service is prompt and it’s everything you want from a restaurant that feels like a beautiful time capsule. All that being said the drinks are absolutely terrible and seem to be an after thought. I’m not even saying make individual drinks but just put some effort into it and I swear this place would be perfect.

We have been going to Tahiti for years. They have accommodated several family events for us over the years. The staff was great but the food was kind of stale. Don’t get me wrong-an elegant eatery it’s not. But usually the food has been very good-think old school Chinese/Polynesian. Could have been an off night.

When in with a party of 4. Tipped roughly 15% which was generous considering the service, there were no other parties in the area besides us. The waitress then came back to the table to demand a better tip. We felt so awkward we did end up giving her more but I wish we hadn’t. The food was cold overpriced and bland and was charged for an app we didn’t receive. Management seemed not to care when we tried to call afterwards about the experience. Incredibly rude and ungrateful, wont be dining here again.

Old school place, retro in all the right ways. Went for lunch and we shared a pupu platter and most of it was very good. The chicken fingers were a little over breaded and under seasoned but other than that, the food was good. Prices were reasonable and the service was good. Hadn’t been here in over 20 years and although it’s changed , it still has the same vibe !

One of the absolute worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Service was no stars.
We were a group of 10 and the waitress could not have been any less attentive.
She would come over to the table and go to take a drink order or food order, then would say, “hold on” and would walk to another table to take their order before returning.
It wasn’t even busy so it was very bizarre.
She acted as though she didn’t want to be bothered.
Half the time we could see her in the dining area talking with other employees while we were waiting for service.
The food finally arrived (because it took forever to get her to simply take the order) and everyone at the table who had chicken wings with their order discovered they were still red and raw inside.
When we had to send it back, because it’s clearly a safety issue, she appeared annoyed.
Our drinks set empty half the time because we were only able to order cocktails when we flagged her down.
Overall, the food that was cooked properly wasn’t that great and the service was a disgrace.
I understand everyone has bad days, but this was absurd.
It’s too bad too. We’re a fun group that tips generously. Could have been a great night for her tip wise if she’d only bothered to do her job.

If I could give no stars, I woul. Under new management. Crab Rangoon had no (even nonartficial) crab. When I tried to send it back, I was told I’d have to oay half to cover their cost. Then she said if I didn’t like it, that was my problem.

The best traditional polynesian food!!….not salty, full of soy sauce or greasy. Abundance of tropical cocktails. There are few and far between old school Chinese restaurants and lounges left. Comfy low tables and cushy seats with an old tropical mural on the wall. One of my favorites. Vintage is good, don’t let those who criticized the place in a review influence you. It’s a gem of a place for over 50 years!

It’s exactly what you would expect for a Chinese place like this. It’s better than it might seem from the outside. The food is worth it, the drinks were off for our visit. The Mai Tai was the best drink we had today.
