It was very clear to us why this place has nothing but 5* reviews! My boyfriend and I came here twice while we were in San Pedro. The ramen was delicious, we tried the paitan and tonkotsu. The broth in both was fresh and rich without being too heavy. Fresh noodles had a great texture. The green tea is made with so much care and precision. The owner is a lovely man, his dogs are gorgeous and the experience feels personal and authentic. I would eat here everyday if I could!

Keep in mind that there are only 10 bowls of ramen a day so get here early!

This place is amazing! The owner serves a maximum of 10 people per day, so you should go early because it sells out very quickly. It was totally worth it, everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I had the paitan ramen. You can really feel the care the chef puts into every bowl. The owner is very friendly and has two adorable dogs. A must-visit: it’s a special experience!

This is a very special place, with very special food, and a tremendously special owner. As a Ramen lover, this is the best that I’ve ever had — esp the house made noodles and broth. The setting and service is spectacular and quite tranquil. Thank you Chef for an awesome experience!

As a ramen guy, the ramen (paitan) is clearly very tasty and it’s above average Japanese standards! Take note that it is cash only.

Very well balanced broth that is not overwhelmingly rich so you can enjoy every sip of it from start to finish. The handmade noodles and other ingredients goes nicely with the broth as well. The egg is fully cooked instead of half cooked (ajitama), I believe it’s due to the eggs available in the region not being pasteurised so it is safer to thoroughly cook the egg. That doesn’t detract away from how great this bowl of ramen is. There is also chilli powder available to further spice up your bowl.

If you’re in the area and craving for a hot bowl of ramen or soup-based noodles, do consider paying this spot a visit.

Really enjoyed my experience at this place. I stumbled upon this as I was on my way to dinner at another restaurant but decided to try it. I got lucky and managed to get a space for one of the 10 bowls made per day. I went for the Tonkotsu, it tasted fresh and I had some Japanese tea to accompany it. Some people came whilst I was sat down and got turned away so swinging by earlier in the day and reserving for dinner might be a good idea or in the evening for the following day! Dogs were a cute addition to the experience!

Small ramen Restaurant in San Pedro. Only 10 bowls a day. Tonkatsu with perfect noodles was a great lunch. The takoyaki were good too. Tasted like a Japanese curry on top of them. Get there as early as possible as It will run out. Really nice tea too. Chef is very perfectionist guy who loves his dog. Sometimes closes to hang out with dog and go fishing.

Rarely do I find a place that so perfectly encapsulates what I love about a place to eat, as I did at Tacoyaki Ramen.
From the moment I arrived, well before it was open, I was in love with the place. A small menu, only a few dishes served a day.
And truly a sense of care and love that went into every bowl.
The ramen was delicious, the owner so kind, and the space was wonderful.
Get there early, it’s only 10 bowls a day.

Lovely place that I will remember for a very long time. Thank you for the conversation as well, it was a great chat! ✌️

Amazing food and amazing hospitality from the owner. Super small authentic place but the atmosphere and food is amazing. I even mentioned to the owner I had a sore throat and what he recommended, and after getting a green tea, he even brought me honey to take, and a little to-go bag as well. The kindness from this owner is absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Bonus points for his dogs being extremely friendly as well!

There are few places in the world that offer such an authentic and enjoyable experience. Sometimes, one of the best ramen you have is in a small town around Lake Atitlan.

Chef does an amazing work and the taste of the broth is really good. I feel his passion for good food and his devotion to doing things well.
