Beware: If you’re from or in the Upper Valley, steer clear of Tacos Y Tequila! I would rate my experience at a flat zero. We are locals that have some favorite places but figured we would try out a new spot last night. For starters, I called from Sunday last weekend through last Tuesday and kept getting “the number you dialed is temporarily unavailable”, which was the first red flag and is still the message if you call today, by the way. I went to their fb page and they don’t have messenger set up. I was finally able to find an email address so I inquired about a reservation for last night at 7. They responded relatively quickly and confirmed a reservation was available and booked. Reservation confirmation said to plan for not more than 90 minutes which was great. We arrived early at 6:50 and sat at the bar waiting for the rest of our party, which showed up right at 7. We stood up and said we were ready for our reservation. We had to flag someone down to get our table. Many people working there running around (literally at times) but none asking how they could help. We got to our table finally and ordered our drinks. We had to flag down the waitress to bring us menus after some time went by. We ordered apps right away and needed a minute to peruse the menu. Again, we had to flag down the waitress to order and she was hesitant to take our order. Mind you, it’s now around 725 or so. At 7:40 still no food and asked if we could get another round of drinks. We were told “no”, there’s a private party coming in. We could have water… what??? Still no food a few minutes later and no drinks, we opted to leave. Clearly, they needed us out for their private party. We paid our bill and left. We went to Gusanos instead, which never disappoints. When we got there, we were advised it was busy and only two people waiting tables. They sat us, were friendly as always, had drinks within 5 minutes and had an overall great experience! Highly recommend Gusanos! Plus, they support locals with a punch card and send out discounts when the card is full. They also have the best margaritas around! John & the rest of the crew are just awesome people! I never give negative reviews but was really bothered by the first experience. So, I emailed Tacos Y Tequila to let them know how displeased I was, with lots of details. They reasoned within about 15 mins. Instead of an apology, the email was riddled with accusations of us being late and refusing to order, and ended with them saying “ And yes, do us a favor and stick to Gusanos, your business it not welcome with us.” I was blown away! All I was looking for was an apology or maybe acknowledging that they probably should have emailed me to reschedule to a better time or date. If the owner or manager had taken the time to actually look at cameras, they would see that everything I said was true. I truly believe in trying to resolve with the business first, but they offered zero accountability and then took it a step further across a line that I’m not ok with! Avoid business with them, they clearly don’t care about repeat or local business. They should focus more on customer experience and maybe pay their phone bill or figure out what’s actually going on. Also, “cheese dip” was runny like milk and drinks (that we were allowed to have) were subpar. If you want an authentic Mexican experience, go to Gusanos in Lebanon, NH or Casa Jaliscos in Claremont, NH. Both places are welcoming, friendly, efficient, and have excellent cuisine!

I recently had kind of a crazy experience here. Generally speaking, I have had good experiences here in the past and the food is pretty good. We decided to go here for my friends birthday party. We reserved ahead for 12 people and were confirmed. When we showed up the restaurant for our 6pm reservation the hostess told us we would have to wait an hour and half, despite having made a reservation for a large group in advanced. She did not seem to have any sort of understanding that they had done anything wrong. She did not apologize and came off very brash and rude. It was Friday night and we were not able to find other restaurants in Hanover that could accommodate such a large group without reservation. Furthermore, we asked to speak to the manager after this incident. She went to get him and we waited over 20 minutes in the restaurant to speak with him before she came back to informed us he would not be coming out. The hostess pointed out where the manager was and my friend tried to talk to him and he refused to engage with us.
I’m not sure what happened? The combination of it being very annoying that our reservation for a special birthday dinner was not respected along with very rude service from T&T, no accountability of wrongdoing, or apology inspired me to write this post.

Not good for takeout. Food was cold and wet when i picked it up. No forks or napkins.
I was driving through town and would arrive at 10:45. I was not able to set a pickup time besides “ASAP” and I didnt know when they stopped taking orders (i called them 3 times with no answer) so i ordered 30 min ahead. I specifically chose items not covered in sauce (fajita quesadilla and steak taco) as i was going to be eating while driving, but when i picked it up, the bottoms of both boxes were wet so the tortillas were soaking wet and dripping. No forks in the bag so i had to eat it with my hands anyway, and no napkins so i had a dripping wet hand after

“Not worth the money” -grow up!
I come twice a year since we started visiting Dartmouth and we have never been disappointed. Servers have always been varying levels of friendly (Shout out Anna for being great).
Food is always great, maybe not what you’re used to this far north but still amazing. Try their special salsas, the spicy pineapple is amazing, I get a big bowl to bring home every time.
We love this place.

If you’re in Hanover and craving incredible Mexican food, Tacos Y Tequila is the place to be! I recently had the pleasure of hosting our Latin Hispanic Caribbean network lunch there, and it was a total success. The lively atmosphere and fantastic service made it the perfect setting for a great meal and great company.
The street tacos are an absolute must-try, especially the Al Pastor. The pork is tender and perfectly marinated, with that smoky sweetness that makes each bite a treat. Paired with their Salsa Verde, which adds the perfect amount of tang and spice, it’s a flavor combination you won’t want to miss. Served on fresh, soft corn tortillas, these tacos are the real deal.
In addition to their mouth-watering food, Tacos Y Tequila also offers affordable and generous catering. We’ve ordered from them for our LHC events multiple times, and every time, the food is not only delicious but also more than enough to satisfy our large group. If you’re hosting an event, their catering is the way to go.
Whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or planning a special event, Tacos Y Tequila delivers fantastic food, a fun vibe, and great service every time. Highly recommended!

The best thing Tacos y Tequila does is create ambience with Mexican dinners served in a gorgeous casual and modern environment, right down to its dinnerware. The dinner service, however, is made a bit less illustrious with staff whose personalities are mostly invisible. The food is good, yet out of 3 times dining there, I’ve never raved over it. The presentation of the food, however, is impressive. The enchiladas and pineapple rice are good. The margaritas are good. Authentic and well-crafted. The lunch special prices look great and more affordable. I would like to try them and experience the day-time service.

Terrible experience. Host sat us and then no one came to take our order for at least 20 minutes. After we went to the host to ask for a server, they continued to ignore the table and not take our order. I got food poisoning from my dinner and overall and very disappointed in a place I used to really enjoy.

Lunch on a Tuesday experience was great. We got seated right away. Swift service, but we’re not rushed out the door after we were done eating. Very reasonable price. Street tacos were delicious! Definitely going back again!

How’s it going everybody? I just stopped by Tacos and Tequila and couldn’t be more impressed! How is nobody talking about this place, the food was fresh as can be and reminded me of my grandmothers homemade soft tortillas. I never write reviews on anything but this… this just felt different. I’m so excited for my next trip. Respect to everyone. Thanks
