Small Gem in a gas station is describes this place best! Authentic Mexican food, and salsas are so delicious (I always ask for one of each because I can’t choose one). Discovered this place late 2024 and have been actively enjoying their food items ever since!
My favorite are the Shredded Beef Hard shell tacos. (On sale Tuesdays) They are truly amazing, I compare them to the Los Angeles state fair tacos. Disclaimer they are a little greasy but it does not affect the quality or taste, I enjoy them just like that! I recently tried their Cali Shrimp Burrito and let me tell you, soooo good! Today I had their Chile Reyeno and Carne Asada Burrito (forgot the name) and added the chipotle sauce from the California Shrimp Burrito and that took this burrito to another level of flavor! Great job guys! Keep up the amazing food. I’ll keep recommending you all!
Service is always great, I have had one bad experience but I won’t hold it against the place, as everyone has been so welcoming and nice.

Late night my friends had me try a birria taco before we were about to pull off, needless to say I went in to order 10 more. On top of that they had already closed by the time I went in, but we all ended up getting 17 more birria tacos after the fact. They’re amazing!!!

Excellent and authentic Mexcian food! Service was very good, the lady at the counter who took my order sought me after I placed my order to get a clarification. That showed me that they cared about getting my order right. The only negative is the atmosphere; there aren’t very many tables and it feels very cramped in a small convenience store… but after all it is a convenience store. Worth getting take out for the good food!

Wasn’t sure what I was walking into since it is literally a hole through a gas station wall. There are a couple of booths, but it feels like you are sitting in a convenience store aisle. They did the best they could with the space they had with Mexican music playing in the background. Onto the food. The menus is extensive and there is a tv playing videos of them making each dish (all of which look amazing). We got their 6-taco deal which is like $16 and includes a drink. Bring cash if you want to avoid CC fees. We tried their carne asada, carnitas, pollo, and al pastor. Very flavorful, fully packed, on fresh corn tortillas, with onion/cilantro mix and guac. I will definitely be returning. Salsa was not very spicy and staff was friendly. It is also a convenience store so if you prefer a different drink choice, you are set!

Hidden gem in the Chevron. This is authentic Mexican food. I tried the street tacos al pastor. Less than $9 and I was surprised by the quality and taste. They have 4 tables to sit at and I will definitely be back. Wish I discovered this place sooner.

I have the pleasure to only live within feet of this delicious establishment! My children love their fries and my favorite is the fried shrimp. My husband enjoys all the burritos and they really show their skills in the back even if it’s in a gas station.

I am so happy that El Gordo #4 is now open in the Chevron Food Mart. This has become my regular spot for good, fast Mexican food. The daily specials are great and I go there more often because of the good prices on the specials. Everything I have ordered has been great. Also, the people running the restaurant are always so nice. I needed 8 breakfast burritos for a work crew and was able to arrange that ahead of time with no issue as well. I am happy to give this place a 5 star rating.

I’ve online ordered with them a few times now, and each time my order is never ready on time. They always have a surprised reaction when I arrive and barely start making it then.
This is even the case when they aren’t busy. What’s more frustrating is you pay significantly more using the mobile order apps (ie. Uber, Door Dash, etc.) as they don’t have their own service.
The food is still good like their other locations but I’d would recommend El Gordo off Chandler Blvd and Cooper. Their tortas are better and so is their green salsa, and on time w/mobile orders.
