I really wanted to like this place despite the bad reviews on google. Especially since this is the only halal Mexican restaurant in philly that I know of. Unfortunately the google reviews are accurate. Anyone that says food is good here simply is not a foodie or just likes bland food. I ordered the birrira tacos and the chorizo quesadillas (beef). Usually I’ll order way more food but due to being skeptical I decided to take it slow and order as I go. Well, birrira tacos were a complete let down. To begin, the tacos just looked very unappealing. The meat was so so bland. I can tell they added some “nihari” masala to the meat and called it a day. The consommé looked appealing despite lacking the layer of fat but it just tasted like water. The 3 tacos were served with a roasted pepper and some large rings of onions and side salsa. Taking a bite from the onions and drinking the salsa is what made it edible. Also, there were some cucumbers, turnips and lime. The chorizo quesadilla was better. BUT I don’t know what tortilla they used because it was super THICK! Even though it was edible it still was not worth the price. Customer service was fine. It’s a small place with few chairs so mostly people do take out. Unfortunately I don’t see myself going there again to try other items.

I tried the Birria tacos. 3 for $13. They taste like nihari for some reason. Hope the owner works on the taste and improves the recipe because they weren’t spicy at all and need some salt added as well. The reviews were much worse than reality. But recipe would definitely require an upgrade.

I had chicken tinga tacos and they were fantastic. Great flavor and my taste buds are singing. Going to try Chorizo next time, I am interested in non-pork chorizo.

I wanted tacos, so I decided to try TT even though it had a low rating. What a pleasant surprise! For $13, I got 3 birria tacos that came with soup (a nice spicy pozole broth with shredded beef), a Chile torreado, and some garnishes (radish, cucumber). The food was fresh and tasty. It is certainly underrated and worth a stop. But be warned, it is Halal and there is no pork on the menu.

Just spend $65.88 not worth one cent I spent these tocos have no flavor. Birrias tocos is suppose some what crispy and moist was dry with no flavor. I was extremely exited there was a toco place near my job. never ever will I eat here again

Went in yesterday. Dude Made my food with No Gloves At all. He was wiping sweat off his face and All that. Never Will I ever, Again . And the Tacos Were Not Good. I’ve Had Tacos from Atleast 50 different places.this Is equivalent to Bar food.
