Food was amazing – we had 4 tacos each and a starter each and this was perfect, could not have fit any more in!! Service was fantastic, especially the manager who chatted with us and really showed his expertise on tequila, even giving us a taster of a limited edition reposado! Definitely recommend the pork belly starter, and the beef tacos (pictured)

Had a great time with my friend. We ordered loaded nachos, pollo tacos, and entrecôte. Was really delicious, however I found the portions a bit small and two pieces of steak was basically inedible because it was so chewy, so i could eat three pieces of steak.
My favourite dish would have to be the spicy crème brûlée.
Absolutely amazing and will definitely come back!
The servers were sweet and on time.
Unfortunately the only downside I had was the loud guests, there was a huge get together besides us and they were so loud, I couldn’t hear my friend who was sitting in front of me!
Nonetheless had a great time here with the food 🙂

This place has great Mexican food. I tried the tacos and nachos and really liked the chicken and octopus tacos. The habanero–pineapple salsa pairs perfectly with both the tacos and the nachos. The service was also excellent.
The only downside for me was the price. Compared to other Mexican restaurants, it’s definitely on the higher side. However, the quality of the food and cocktails is very good.

We went on a Monday, and even though it’s not a very common day to go out, the restaurant was full. I definitely recommend making a reservation. The atmosphere was great — relaxed, lively, and perfect for a fun, chatty evening, with good music and nice decoration.
As for the food, it was good, but nothing extraordinary in my opinion. One thing I found strange was that the tacos don’t come with guacamole, which for me is a bit odd. If you want guacamole, you have to pay an extra €2 . The burrito was good, but it only came with about four or five nachos. The cocktails were just okay.
One thing I didn’t enjoy was the fact that our table was right next to the heater, which became uncomfortable because of the heat.
To be fair, I love Mexican food, so maybe I’m being a bit too critical.
The prices are typical for Amsterdam — it’s hard to find good places for under €30.

Second time at Tacos & Tequila Amsterdam and it did not disappoint. Food was incredible again, honestly top tier. We were somehow the only table but the server was lovely and super attentive, made us feel well looked after.

The food here was delicious! While the tacos are a little on the expensive side they really do give you a good amount for the price! I had beef, octopus and chicken tacos and the flavour was great! Extra spicy sauce can be added on the side for those wanting that extra kick ranging in spice level! All cocktails can be had with or without alcohol which is great for those not wanting to drink but would like to try the range of margaritas! Staff were very friendly and welcoming! Atmosphere was very cozy!

Unique Mexican food and drinks for someone looking for a bit elevated dining experience. The tacos were fresh and tasty, though somewhat pricy for the amount you get. It’s also a pity that you have to order a minimum of 3 tacos at once and the salsa and additional toppings (such as cheese) are at extra cost per each taco. The margaritas are classic and great though! There’s also not that many indoor sitting places, thus making a reservation is definitely worth it (especially on weekend evenings). Will definitely come back for the drinks!

We came here for food recently, and I’m overall slightly disappointed. We had hyped up this place to ourselves for our Amsterdam trip, but were left disappointed. The staff are lovely and the service is fast which is great. The margarita I ordered lacked flavour other than tequila. (Not usually something to argue over, but if I order a sweet cocktail I’d like for it to taste that way) The portion sizes are very measly, the shrimp taco had only 1 piece of shrimp for €8! Honestly each of the tacos lacked flavour, it tasted as though something was missing. Birria tacos were on the dry side, and the consommé was far too salty. The nicest part of the meal were the chips, which were also pricey at €9 for a bowl (mad!)
I firmly believe that charging for tap water is a cop out. Especially if other drinks are being ordered.

We had 3 small tacos (octopus, beef, and chicken). These were great! I think I liked the chicken the best. We then shared a chicken burrito, which was a good choice as it was heavy. I couldn’t finish my half! But it was so so delicious I was disappointed I couldn’t. We both had a cocktail as well. I liked the interior, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the elevated area. We were sitting by the window where it wasn’t too cold, even with the door opened and it being cold outside!
