We stopped in to try this newer place today. It was fairly busy for 3:30pm on a Saturday. The service was great! Drink prices are reasonable. The chips and salsa were on point. Our meals were both very tasty! The carnitas had an amazing flavor and wasn’t greasy. The San Jose chicken dinner was surprising. The chicken breast was pounded thin and took up half the plate. It was covered in grilled peppers, onions, and several tender shrimp. The sauce was smoky, tangy, and had some heat to it. I very much liked the side of black beans and salad. We’ll be back to try some other menu items.

Me and my family absolutely love this place. We went there for Valentine’s Day lunch. With the family. And they were super quick and super friendly. The food was honestly amazing. Everything tastes so good. Neither less to say we would definitely will be going back for another meal. Best Mexican food around!

Went here the other day with my kids for an early dinner and it wasn’t really worth all the hype. First off the building is nice inside and everything but just kinda plain. The chips and salsa were nothing special at all. Your basic Mexican restaurant tastes. The guacamole was pretty good but was missing flavor as well. Didn’t have that real avocado flavor and was missing the onion and cilantro flavors. Maybe a little extra salt too. Now for the main dish I had. A fajitas taco bowl. The bowl seamed smaller than some I’ve had in town. The dish lacked meat that’s for sure and the green peppers were barely cooked. Super crispy still. Just didn’t have that wow factor. Just mediocre but still good. The grilled jalapeños hit the spot for sure though. The kids had enchiladas off the kids menu and felt their plates were about $2 each overpriced. Overall the food was just…OK and nothing more. I’ve had better and I’ve had worse in town. Just wish the flavor was there and quantity. I will try it again in a few months to give it another shot.

We live in an area where there seems to be two Mexican restaurants in every block. This is one of the better ones. We honestly aren’t big fans of Mexican food, but we found their dining tasty and the service consistently good.

The decoration and location of the place seem very good to me. The food was very tasty, I ordered ranch enchiladas and my sister a molcajete, to drink we ordered margaritas with mango and lemon, super delicious everything, the sauces well prepared and the meat well cooked and well seasoned, I liked the atmosphere and the music, the waiter very friendly and attentive at all times. I think it’s a nice place for lunch, the only thing I didn’t like is that every 15 minutes they will ask you if you need boxes to take your food and although we wanted to continue talking and maybe consuming out of nowhere the waiter arrived to collect the bill, it seemed to me as if they were in a hurry for us to leave which is not a good first impression.

Ordered a to go quesidilla with a side of rice, chip & salsa, flavors were definitely present of authentic Mexican herbs and spices, chips were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of salt.
Salsa was a winner as well.
Will definitely return for a sit down dinner!!

2nd visit was great, we ordered one of everything it seemed…
I would encourage a hostess as it was a bit confusing entering the restaurant.
We were seated and had our first round of waters and drinks in under 10 min, wait staff was fantastic, however I did not see any buss boys to help remove plates from tables.
Overall, fair pricing for quality food it’s a win win!!

Had high hopes for this place that was once Beggars Pizza. Service was slow for 6 people which took about an hour to get our food. Margaritas don’t have much alcohol. Had the enchiladas supremas which were flavorless. Didn’t even come with rice or beans. Anyway, probably won’t go again. The fish tacos were reported as good though.

My wife and I dined at Tacos Tequila tonight and honestly it was a less than acceptable. When we arrived though what I believed to be the front door, there was people waiting but no sign to show if you were the front was. We did find it, put our name down and was told it was a 20 minute wait. No problem, it was Friday and the place was packed. It was exciting because that meant the food had to be great.
We get seated and then.. nothing. No one comes to greet us, no one is taking our drinks. I finally had to grab someone and I told him we as well as the people next to us haven’t gotten drinks. I repeated it three or so times, pointing to the other table as well. He only came out with waters for us. The other table, which was seated as we were, waited 45 minutes for drinks and had to request them twice.
10 minutes after that, I was finally able to flag someone down to put our order in. The man taking our order stood awfully close to us and it was an uncomfortable experience. But we got our food order in. I think another 20 minutes later the table next to us finally got to order after they also grabbed the waiters attention.
We waited another 45 minutes for food. No one came to check on us, tell us there was a wait and apologized. I even called another server over to say hey, people are not getting taken care of. He kept ignoring me and asking me if I wanted them to check on my food. I repeated no, I want people to get service, a table that was across from us hadn’t even had their order taken and they were sat 10 minutes before us! He said that the kitchen was backed up. I said that wasn’t the issue, that no one was even being served until we flagged them down. He kept going back to asking if I wanted him to check on our food. I repeated no and said Nevermind.
Our food finally came and we were so hopeful. I ordered the Steak Mexicans, which comes with grilled peppers, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms. No mushroom. The rice and beans had no flavor whatsoever. It was also cold. Steak was fine, it wasn’t my favorite. It was very tough and I ordered it rare.
My wife had the Quesabirria. There was no abundance of cheese. The meat inside was sparse and dry. The consume was meh. She couldn’t get the meat to soak up any juice, it was so dry. Her whole meal was cold. It looked like maybe our food had been sat there for a while.
As soon as someone came by, I asked to pay. I’m unsure if anyone else is trained on the device they used to take order and pay, but the same man was there. I had read a review that the man stood close while paying, I’m guessing in a way to put pressure on the guest for bigger tips.
We got up shortly and we heard someone shocked that we were done because they for their way before us. Also, the table diagonal to us JUST ordered their food. The table that was sat 10 minutes prior.
I understand this place is new and that’s why it’s important to say this. I saw who I thought might be the manager (he was wearing a different shirt) for a total of 15 minutes during my meal. I saw a lot of walking back and forth in a very quiet kitchen.
It had no idea if we had a waiter assigned to us, or even our section. The service was terrible and no accountability was taken for how “slow the kitchen was”. Based on how cold our food was, I wonder if the kitchen was pushing out food and maybe the wait staff was too overwhelmed?
Overall, extremely disappointing and I am hopeful that in the next few months, things turn around and we can actually enjoy a meal, not our whole evening, at this establishment.
