A taco standout on Milpas Street, and that’s saying a lot.
Four tacos for $12? In this economy? Respect. Especially when they’re made with handmade corn tortillas that actually hold up and don’t fall apart mid-bite.
My regular order includes the barbacoa, chicharrón, mushrooms, and rajas con queso. Solid across the board. The barbacoa con consomé deserves its own shoutout. Rich, comforting, and not overdone.
The salsa bar is legit, ranging from mild to spicy with all the proper taco fixings. No sad toppings here. Drinks are on point too with rotating aguas frescas, Mexican bottled sodas, and yes, they’ve got chelas too.
Service is fast, the setup is casual, and it’s the kind of place you can hit for a quick lunch or an easy dinner without overthinking it. Bonus points for being friendly to both meat lovers and vegetarians.
The eastside neighborhood has no shortage of tacos, but this spot earns its place in the rotation. No gimmicks, no hype, just good tacos done right.

I’ll give my gringo thumbs up. Simple fresh street tacos with a variety salsa bar. Peanut salsa was a new flavor me, but it was nice with a kick of spice. Gotta come back to try the Pozole I saw someone eating.

The best. Always delicious, good vibe for eat in or great for take out. Fast service and good prices. If you get a big order of take out, it’s a good idea to check your food before you leave as we’ve had some mix ups/items missing in the past.

Cashier/Server was so kind and lively it felt like I was going to my cousins place to have tacos. They have a bar inside and made it very easy to stay and watch a game or two lol
Thank you for the great asada tacos. They weren’t fatty or greasy.

Absolutely killer tacos from this downtown taco truck!
In a city of $20 taco plates and pretentious pricing, this well-priced option was an absolute standout. Portions were great with a wide variety of meats to choose from. Generous side portions and refreshing toppings to choose from in whatever quantity you want.
Definitely a place I’d be coming back to if I was a local!

Fantastic! Four delicious tacos (get the barbacoa for sure) made to order for 12 bucks. Order at the counter and wait for your food to arrive, hot and soooo good. I’ll be back to try some mole. Bonus: the staff is really friendly. Easy to recommend Pipeye!

BLOWN AWAY! My husband and I were silent as we are because we were taking it all in. We eat a lot of Mexican food and this was exceptional. I am a tough critic but I can confidently say some of the best Mexican food I have ever had.

Absolutely the best tacos I have had in this city. The menu is simple which I really appreciate, the prices are doable. Might not be the best atmosphere for some but we are here for the food, not the ambiance. Remember, they also got that food truck after the restaurant closes.
