Based on the name “Tacos Lotería” you’d expect some good tacos. Unfortunately they were not good. Carne asada tacos were bland. The tripa tacos I asked for “well done.” And unfortunately I received some chewy hard to swallow tacos de tripa. The tortillas were not dipped in oil or grilled. Unfortunately were straight out of the bag onto the grill without oil. Salsa is where you sell people on your tacos. Once again, another place without good salsa 🙁 you can have the worst tacos, but an amazing salsa fixes it all.
Service was on point and very nice staff very appreciative of their quick work. Only took 5 minutes to get my order.
Maybe the tacos weren’t the best but hope to swing by and have another item for another review sometime.
The price on tacos were perfect!
Very reasonable prices.

FINALLY A GOOD MEXICAN TAQUERIA IN TV!!!
I’m not sure if this has been reviewed much, but everyone needs to go ASAP!
I’ve been wanting to stop by Tacos Loteria for a while. We went over Labor Day, but they were closed, so we went back tonight and I am SOOOO glad we did. The food is amazing, fresh, and flavorful (unlike most Idaho Mexican food)! They don’t give you chips and salsa with the no-flavor beans to start; it’s a nacho platter!
I was so excited that we started eating before I took pictures.
We shared the Ceviche tostada. It could be a meal in itself. It was so good, fresh, and tangy! So dang good!
My picky son had the tacos (plain) with rice, he loved it said this is his new favorite taqueria. It wasn’t on the menu, but I got
the quesabirria tacos. I swear I saw them on Yelp.
My husband got a mixed taco plate with pastor and chorizo. He said they were both really good. You can see the pineapple in his pastor tacos, even! The rice and beans were ok, I thought the rice was a little bland myself.
They have a buffet on weekends. I didn’t see the kids’ price, but it’s $22 for adults.
All this food was around $40, so not only delicious, but they don’t charge you an arm and a leg.
I had to ask where they were from, because I knew it wasn’t here, our lovely waitress said Mexico City and Oaxaca!
You must try them, you WILL NOT BE SORRY!!

Was in business in Meridian this afternoon so thought I would check out this tacos place I have been reading about. This is a transition for them as they normally do the food truck thing. It was a bit sparse but they will put up items to make it there own I am sure. Got nachos instead of chips and salsa and that was a nice difference. It was approx 4pm when we got there and they had sold out of the tamales but that is to be figured again as this is a transition to brick and mortar. I ordered the tacos, beans and rice combo. The rice was great, the beans were a bit loose. The carnita street tacos were alright but not worth a trip from south east Boise at rush hour traffic for sure.

Okay so I moved to Boise about 10 months ago and have been on the search for the best street tacos in the area. Seen the sign for this place that It was finally open and all I can tell you guys is these are hands down the best tacos I’ve had here or any where else Ive lived in the country. Comes with 4 different sauces that are extremely tasty with one being really spicy but probably the best one if you can handle It the heat. Come check out this place the moment you get the chance. They will not disappoint.

Food and staff are awesome. The only complaint was the kid size servings of rice and beans. Our to-go containers were not even half full. Flavor is on point. The grilled onions are an great touch. We just really wanted the standard amount of rice and beans. Will try again.

If you want to get a taste of authentic Mexican food, this place is probably as close as you’re going to get in the Meridian area. Everything so far has been delicious- the tacos, the red mole, and most recently the chicken tamales with green salsa. And don’t get me started on the freshly made masa tortillas on the weekends which literally take you right back to abuelas’ casa back in el rancho…if you know, you know. 10/10 would recommend.

you don’t come here for the atmosphere. You come here for only one reason and that’s to get the best damn tacos anywhere in Boise! The street Carne Asada tacos were incredible with the habanero sauce! And I’ve had the birria tacos that comes with a soup that was the best I have ever had. I have lived in Dallas, Texas, San Diego, and Tucson, AZ and THIS place beats them all! They also have lamb too!! So good!!

Discovered this restaurant today and my family and I loved it! My 2 year old couldn’t get over how much she liked the tacos. My dad is from Oaxaca, so I especially love the Oaxaqueno and Mexico City inspired dishes. Highly recommend!
