DO NOT hesitate to visit, and give the nachos a go. What a fun meal!
Shoutout to Gema, who was both our waitress and bartender—super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.
Perfect spot whether you’re grabbing tacos on a random day or pregaming before a Suns or D-backs game. Great food, great vibes, great service. I’ll definitely be back.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming. They offered helpful suggestions and made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. The salsa macha was a standout for me,so much flavor!! and the guacamole was fresh and delicious. I also loved that they offer yellow corn tortillas, which made the tacos even better.
Overall, great food, great people, and an unbeatable location. I’d definitely come back!
Loved the salsa bar. The avocado sauce/salsa was fantastic. I had the birria tacos. Three of them. It was a lot of food. Flavors were great. Some of the meat was slightly over cooked I believe. Just had several bites that were a little tougher than I would have liked. Led to bites where a big chunk of meat would come out with your bite. We also had a plain quesadilla. It was good.
The chips were not good. I wouldn’t spend money on them again. That was a shame because the open salsa bar was great.
I was also disappointed that they charged extra if you wanted consume for dipping your birria tacos. I’ve never had anyone charge for that. Kinda crazy.
We also had the horchata. It was also pretty good.
I would go back if I was in the area.
*P.S. I wish I had better pictures but I only got to finish eating at the center and it was dark *
I normally wouldn’t call myself a big fan of birria tacos with consomé—but after hearing so many recommendations for Tacos Los Vales, I decided to give them a try. I’m so glad I did! These tacos were absolutely incredible. The flavor was rich and perfectly balanced, the tortillas were crisped to perfection, and the consomé was bursting with depth and authenticity.
What really surprised me was how much I enjoyed something I don’t usually go for—it completely changed my mind about birria tacos. It’s easy to see why everyone raves about this place. The food tastes fresh, the portions are generous, and you can tell there’s real passion behind every dish.
Tacos Los Vales has officially become my new favorite Mexican restaurant. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu, especially the items I already know I love. If you’re on the fence about trying them, take it from me—you’ll be glad you did. The only thing I wish is they were slightly closer to me!
