In terms of overall flavor is was not bad. As always, I felt that some dishes were better than others but what really boosted the score for me was the specialties that go beyond your average Mexican restaurant and even unique ones. One of the biggest examples being the heart-shaped taco platter and birria pizza, both of which are more common in the west. Though I wish I would have tried more food, I think I got a pretty good idea of the food. I won’t say it is the best but it is pretty darn good. Overall, definitely worth eating at!
Birria Taco 10/10: I think some people may have their preferences when it comes to birria tacos, but this one was definitely one of my favorites. That is mainly because of the right cheese to meat ratio. Oftentimes, they overload with a lot of cheese, which masks the true deep flavors of the meat. In this case, it was a nice mix that allow me to really taste the birria flavor not only on the meat but also on the tortilla itself. I think the consommé was not necessarily unique but still paired nicely with the taco.
Taco Platter 8.5/10: I got the barbacoa, carne asada, and chicken proteins. The platter came with rice and beans. I think the beans were somewhat above decent. They were not too watery and had a decent amount of salt. The rice could have used more salt and seasoning. Now, in terms of the meats, I was quite disappointed in the flavors of the carne asada and barbacoa. Their flavor and smokiness were very faint, so I had to rely on sauces to really enjoy it. What was interesting is that the chicken actually tasted better than both of the meats! That’s not too common but this chicken was quite juicy, abundant, and very flavorful. I would love to try the other proteins to see how they compare to this very flavorful chicken!

Extremely underwhelming. Mexican food outside of California and Mexico is always nasty. Significant difference in quality of ingredients. The carne asada tastes like cubed steakumms. Dry and unseasoned, every single time. Tortillas don’t get cooked. Don’t follow the special instructions for delivery. Wrong sodas. I give up on Mexican restaurants outside of the west coast

This was my first time eating at Taco La Villa. I actually came across the place while looking for somewhere to charge my phone. When I walked in, I was surprised — it was the loudest and most crowded restaurant I’ve ever been to. It honestly felt more like a supermarket, with people loudly calling out order numbers instead of a typical dining atmosphere.
There were, however, a couple of things I did like — the wide variety of food options and the affordable prices.
I ordered two birria tacos, assuming they would automatically come with a side of consommé, but it didn’t. When I asked about it, I was told I had to pay extra because I ordered two tacos instead of three. I went ahead and paid for it, but the experience was disappointing. First, the attitude wasn’t very welcoming, and second, the consommé was extremely watery — not like any birria consommé I’ve had before.
I also ordered the steak with shrimp, which came with rice and salad. Taste-wise, it was good overall, but there were a few things I didn’t enjoy. For some reason, there was a mountain of sautéed onions piled on top of the steak, and a huge amount of shredded lettuce under the salad. It ended up being more food that I threw away than what I actually ate.
I don’t like wasting food, and while I normally enjoy onions, the portion was just excessive. I wish the dishes were more balanced — it’s not necessary to overload the plate with items just to make it look full. It causes unnecessary waste, both for customers and for the restaurant.

Our absolute favorite. We came here periodically but have starting being regulars since they opened the bar. Jennifer is our absolute favorite and a lot of the reason we are regulars! I came here on a night when she off for the day, wasn’t the same level of service. Also love the desserts made fresh in front of the store! Highly recommend TLV!

We saw a line near the register so went to join the line after placing order and paying got to wait for your order number to be called to collect the food. There were many food pickups and to go’s as well. We were here on Saturday around 06:30 pm. It took us hour to be out. Very crowded. Very reasonable price.

Visited for the first time after reading Google reviews, on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was jam-packed but prices were reasonable. The food was fresh and delicious . You stand in line, place your order, pay, and wait for your number to be called on the mic . Loved the chicken quesadilla and burrito . The veggie burrito was also good. Restaurant is messy, needs cleaning, and extremely loud .

My youngest son came in one night with a left over Birria pizza. I wanted a piece. It was so good! So, for my birthday he took his grandmother and I to this place. His girlfriend also accompanied us. The place was crowded and loud, but everyone was happy. The line was long. I was so shocked! I found us a table, but it wasn’t easy when we first walked inside! However, some people were leaving as went to the restroom and stood in line. My mother and I found a table while my son ordered for us.

I just lost my uncle, and I had to officiate his funeral one day after my birthday. So, we didn’t start celebrating my birthday until a couple of days after my uncle’s funeral.
I am really thankful for my family! My oldest son bought me groceries for my birthday, which I needed, and my baby boy took me to dinner. I’m a happy camper . I love my family!

Great bites, affordable prices, and excellent service. No frills eatery with large portions and high quality ingredients. Ample tables available. Alcoholic beverages were tasty too.

I had a horrible experience. The birria pizza had no flavor at all it was completely bland, the breading was soggy, and the meat was unseasoned. On top of that, the bartender was very rude with a “nice-nasty” attitude and kept staring, which made the visit uncomfortable. They even cut the pizza incorrectly. I feel like I wasted my money. 0/10 I
