This is exactly what I look for with Mexican street food. Everything is excellent, coke in glass bottles in coolers, and the tacos were fantastic. Will definitely be coming back to this great spot

This place is all about the food. Legit authentic Mexican food. Cool setup where they have the food truck and a covered area to sit and eat. Coolers full of regular soft drinks including Mexican sodas. We had the beef birra tacos, a pastor burrito & a couple beef tacos that were phenomenal..They have their own homemade hot sauces in varying spice levels that were really tasty. Everything was awesome with friendly service. When you are craving “really good” Mexican, this is the spot.

We tried the queso birria tacos and a birria sope. Both were very good. The dipping sauce was full of flavor and the hot sauce added a nice amount of heat. We were just visiting in the area, but otherwise would not hesitate to return.

Birria tacos are it here! We find ourselves coming at least once a week and it never disappoints! It’s so fresh and delicious. Their salsa is Can’t wait to take my dad here – he’s a Mexican food snob and I know he’s going to flip knowing this exists. Highly recommend!

We just moved to John’s island and decided to try here. We ordered a carne asada quesadilla and some chicken tacos. Everything was so delicious. The elotes were also great. The home made hot sauces were spicy and flavorful. Will definitely be returning

Found this taco truck on our way to Kiawah Island. It was Saturday evening so they were out of a lot of food by then, so I recommend going early on weekends. We tried quesadillas with carne asada, tacos al pastor, and burrito; they were good. Their agua de jamaica (hibiscus) is made from scratch and was very good.
Great service! They have a clean shaded area to eat.
They are pricier than the average taco truck, but I think it could be because of their location.

Tacos La Familia has the best tacos on the island. They have birria tacos that are to die for. Amazing dipping stew with hefty portions for a great price. Also, the spicy mango sorbet is amazing with a great combination of sweet and spicy that completes an amazing meal. If you do not come here you are missing out! 12/10 will come again!

We absolutely loved this place! I have been on the hunt for birria tacos in Charleston and they delivered! So cheesy and the consommé was perfectly spicy. I drained the whole thing after I finished dipping my tacos in it. You also can’t beat the prices
