I’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times but this last visit was worth noting, first of all the restaurant and environment are inviting very clean from front to back. The service that we got eating in the restaurant was exemplary and extremely polite, our food came up very quick but before our entree showed up we were treated with some of the best and spiciest homemade salsa I’ve had in the metro area. The entrees were great we go the birria tacos and carnitas and both of them were fabulous, full of flavor spice and just enough heat. If you’re looking for a no-frill stop to get a quick lunch or a delicious dinner to take home I can absolutely recommend this is your first option.

Heard some rumblings that Tacos Jalpa has some of the best tacos in the city. Turns out they were right. I had the waitress pick her four favorite for me. I started with the Carnitas which were fine, maybe not anything to write home about, but the next three…wow! The barbacoa incredibly tender and bursting with flavor, the carne asada was perfectly cooked, and the chicharrones were just stunning. The salsas were outstanding. Great atmosphere. Absolutely a top tier taco in Denver.

I ate the enchilada plate for lunch earlier this afternoon and as I got up to go pay all the employees started giggling with one another and so much so that it was intentionally letting me know their laughs were in reference to me… I’ve been on the toilet nonstop with the straight runs for hours now and now I’m beginning to have server chest pains. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I wouldn’t taint this business or anyone else’s unless I was 100% certain I was correct in doing so by patiently trying to hold out before posting this review. And I’m doing so after I’ve prayed to God about it and attempted to call the restaurant twice so I could hopefully speak with a manager there that is also a believer in Christ and would get to the bottom of this but neither time I called did the young ladies I tried speaking with understood me asking for the boss or manager or supervisor or owner of the place to no avail… Thankfully, I got a to go box and brought the remaining 75% of my meal that I couldn’t force myself to eat while being giggled at after they brought me crispy/hard corn tortilla shells that wrapped around the steak that was even more overcooked than the tortillas was. I’m giving it to God and that His will be done with this restaurant by having the leftovers analyzed by professionals to see exactly what it was that they added into my $19 plate of whatever it was and coke, plus a $5 and some change tip for the waitress. I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW AS SOON AS I FIND OUT WHAT IT WAS THAT WAS IN THAT FOOD THAT HAS ME STILL ON THE TOILET AT 11PM DENVER COLORADO TIME. I SERIOUSLY FEEL LIKE I’M DYING HERE AND CAN’T SPEAK TO ANYONE IN ENGLISH ABOUT THIS SITUATION… IN AMERICA! NOT MEXICO!!! GO FIGURE… BEWARE GRINGOS! BEWARE!!!!

I am very impressed with this restaurant. I stop here right before work and the customer service here is amazing, they don’t forget you or your order. They are very friendly and go above and beyond to assist you with all your needs, including making iced coffee that I ask for. They are so welcoming and the food it is soo good! So flavorful. I love this place so much and will continue to come back. The food is amazing and the cooks cook with their heart! I love!!!

Great service and outstanding food! I decided to try a burrito today. My main issue is that I’m on low carb keto diet so I opted for a burrito with out the rice, beans, or tortilla. They sever was quite accommodating and was able to get me a burrito plate smothered in green chili, steak, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and extra cheese. It was amazing! Perfectly seasoned and well prepared. The sever also gave me a sample of there Xtra hot habanero salsa to top it off and wow that lot a fire in my face ! It soo hot and hurt soo good if you like spicy definitely ask for a side of that salsa. This place is a hidden gem. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed

2 at best. It’s sad because it was one of my favorite places for years. Now my orders are always wrong. Even ordering only a side of green chili. I was given red chili which my family won’t eat. It cost me over $8.
