This place is an absolute gem. We ordered the 6 taco combo for $12.50 which is a crazy good deal for the keys. We got 5 different meats (al pastor, steak, chicken, chorizo, and barbacoa) and they were all devious. They are small but taste very authentic and are all on corn tortillas. The chorizo, barbacoa, and al pastor were especially good. The vibes at the brewery are also great. Couldn’t recommend any more!

Drove by on my way home and decided to give it a try. Ordered a torta (which comes with fries) and a taco. Super disappointing. All the meat was super salty. The fries ended up being potato chips. That meat was charred in a bad way too.

Nothing delicious or authentic about this place. Born in Mexico and frequent visitor of Mexican culinary spots, this was awful. Mad I sent $20+ on food. The drinks are very delicious, not too sweet. Only reason for 2-stars. Dine at your own caution.

The food was delicious, authentic, and priced really well, making it an awesome lunch spot. It felt more like a local place, which made it even better. At night, the area had a cool vibe with local shops and activity going on. Definitely a spot I’d go back to for great food at a great price.

Great place to get some street tacos. The brewery had live music – oh yeah, it was a good time!
I had the shrimp burrito and a couple of steak tacos.
The one thing I will say is that the tacos are very small.

BLUF: Traditional street tacos (cilantro, diced onion, lime over your meat of choice) in a laid back brewery setting.

Why you should make it a stop: It was so good that we went the last two nights of our 7 night vacation. While we searched for the perfect dinner in the Keys, opting for more “upscale” restaurants while on the hunt for a good meal…ultimately, we found that we enjoyed the non-fussy, cooked with love, simple but damn good food from Tacos Jalisco best. After enjoying the beer from the adjacent Florida Keys Brewing Company and live music, we left with our bellies full with zero regret or questioning if the meal was worth the money because truly we would have paid double for everything we had. Did I mentioned that they were $2.50/taco? Between the two nights, my husband and I tried the barbacoa, asada, pastor, and fish tacos as well as the salsa and guacamole. If you love heat, then ask for their homemade hot sauce… smoky, slightly sweet, wonderful tang, and a spicy bite that goes so well with the tacos. Sorry I don’t have photos to post. The food was too good.

Imagine the most authentic, delicious Mexican street food and plunk it into the quintessential Florida Keys setting with tons of colorful laid-back charm, and you have pretty much described Jalisco 2 in Islamorada.

Ordered three street tacos: carne asada, pastor, and pollo, topped with the classic onions, cilantro, and lime. Three choices of homemade hot sauce: mild, medium, and hot. I ordered the hot. It was not knock-you-on-your-ass hot. Nice toasted peppers with a pleasant earthy tang. Delicious. The corn tortillas are the authentic, homemade, small, soft kind. The asada was so good I ordered two more. Wash it all down with a Jaritos mandarino and boom, Jose’s your uncle.

Probably the best street tacos I’ve had, as good as the best in Mexico.

These people know food!

This was a great little find, we were out on a charter and they recommended this location because they will take your catch and blacken it and make the best street tacos for a great price. We gave him enough fillets to make 12 full tacos packed with flavor. forgot to get pics before we started eating…but I did get some of the area. We also purchased some of their tacos and wow… delicious…. And they were all very friendly, helpful and courteous…..check them out

Tried the steak burrito and nachos—absolutely delicious!
Both were packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh and natural. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality. The steak was juicy and well-seasoned, and the nachos had the perfect balance of crunch and toppings. Highly recommend!
