Each plate is $20. You be the judge thanks to the two. Good to go app. I paid only $6.99 for each plate, although these plates don’t look like $20 plates I can’t complain The food was the clear star, delivering a genuinely authentic Mexican taste. The chicken tacos were notable: the chicken was tender, soft at the bite, and served in a flavorful, slightly runny juice. While the tortillas were good and sturdy, they appeared to be store-bought rather than hand-made. The accompanying beans and rice were both served nice and hot, proving to be flavorful sides that perfectly complemented the main dish.
Other Observations
On the practical side, the restaurant offers plenty of convenient parking. However, the experience was significantly marred by poor service and the denial of restroom access, which detracted from the otherwise outstanding meal.
Overall: While the service and facility access need significant improvement, Tacos Jalisco Number One is highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious, hot, and authentic Mexican food in the South Gate area. What I like most about the experience was receiving the food at A great price thank you tacos Jalisco. Maybe next time you can open up the restroom for customers It will make the atmosphere more welcoming.

My favorite meat from there is the carne asada. Only place I get get carne asada tacos, burritos, etc. Their other choices of meat that they offer are okay. Small restaurant for small groups of people. I give it a 4 cause of their carne asada lol
2025 update from my original 2017 review
Under new ownership. Owner has been a
restaurateur for over 20 years and recently took over the business back in March. Guy is very cool and chill.
I remember the old owners and the older gentleman that owned the business. When the older gentleman passed away, the food wasnt the same.
Fast forward to 2025, this new owner knows what he’s doing and the carne asada seasoning has exceeded of the previous owners. Not saying the previous owner wasnt good, but this has exceeded my expectations. Menu has remained the same. But the portions are really good. If you’ve been a person who has been loyal, give these new owners a try. Won’t be disappointed. I was not disappointed one bit.

Small little hole in the wall restaurant that serves really good food. Plenty of parking at CVS if you don’t mind walking a little.
