Some of the most incredible food produced statewide in Colorado. The atmosphere is what you would expect when grabbing authentic Mexican food in Delta, CO. The Birria tacos, tortas, and sweet corn elote tamale are absolutely, insanely delicious. This is quite literally my favorite restaurant ever, you can tell by how addictive the horchata is. We’ve never had a chance to try another Mexican spot in the area due to Tacos Garcia being too damn good. The staff is great and very welcoming.

The barbacoa breakfast burritos SLAP. The tortas are solid and are our go-to order. The cakes are delicious. I think we’ve liked everything we’ve tried from here and we probably eat here about once a week.
Originally from texas and have been missing our faves (especially barbacoa), so glad we found this place. We highly recommend!

Update: second stop in less than a week on our way out of Ridgway. The first was not a fluke, breakfast burritos are best (chose mine with churrizo). Greet service again! Outstanding tacos and enchiladas. Highly recommend.

Good taco joint in Delta. Was very surprised on how tasty this place was. Zero non meat options, but great tacos. Tried the pastor and barbacoa and both were so tender they virtually melted when eaten. Sopes were a little dense but a great alternative to standard tacos. Everything seemed very fresh, definitely made to order.

Looking for a place to get lunch in Delta that wasn’t a fast food franchise and saw this. Parking lot was pretty full at 1:30 pm so that was a good sign. Dining room was clean. Lots of foot traffic in and out, many of them Mexican – so another good sign? Authentic? Not an extensive menu but quite a few options for the meat on what you choose. Prices were good, I think everything was under $10. We ordered the chicken enchilada plate, chile relleno plate, and an asada taco. We asked if they smothered the items in green chili or an enchilada sauce. She said, “No, it’s all dry ” Figured we’d try it. The food arrived hot and pretty quickly. The relleno wasn’t the worst I’ve had. My wife didn’t care for her chicken enchilada at all. Basically the food was bland. If you used the green or red sauce they brought it added heat but not flavor. The rice looked like they added veg-all to it. Not a fan of butter beans (lima?) and peas in my rice. Probably the best part of meal was the refried beans. Can’t say I’d recommend this place. There are a couple of more Mexican food restaurants just up the street, might want to try one of those.

I’m not sure what the people with negative reviews are expecting, this is the most authentic we’ve had since moving to the western slope. We’ve tried almost every Mexican restaurant and have been disappointed. This place is on point. Ordered 8 tacos and they were all delicious. Best sauce I’ve had here. I refuse to eat anywhere else when getting Mexican food.

Worst food I ever had . Asked for shredded beef tacos with rice and beans ended up with some other meat and so much oil unbelievable and the beans were runny. 20 down the drain. Don’t eat there.

Pretty good quality! Not bad quantity either. Fresh guac, tasty rice, chx was probably low quality but the experience is still worth the trip. I’d go back
